If we're going by the shadows at the bottom of the phones then they're almost identical. The Blackberry is a bit harder to guage once you blow it up to full size, but give or take a single pixel they're the same. So I guess this phone is approx 10.4mm thick then.
If I weren't getting full size Honami and wanted the Mini variant then this wouldn't bother me at all. A phone either the same screen size or slightly larger than iPhone 5, FAR more powerful, a larger battery and possibly the same camera as full size Honami? That little added thickness would be quite acceptable. |

That isn't a shadow at the bottom it's a result of the shakey image. The top and bottom bezels on this handset are going to be very small judging by the height x width in this picture, but that could be an optical illusion from the camera movement too.
@sami92a my original post that you were making a point against expressly stated different textures/materials on a flagship device.

I don't think the bottom portions are camera movement. You can get an idea of where the duplicate images are from movement by using the Sony logo as a starting point. The duplicate portion is above the actual phone and there is no duplicate portion below the phone. That means it should be a shadow we're seeing there.

I'd normaly agree with you @vivftp, but we're looking at very dark black imposed on black and very black imposed on a light coloured table. The light coloured table shows through the very bottom portion of the lower positioned exposure simply because it's very light.
My logic is that looking at the two positions of the Sony logo, the top position is slightly fainter than the lower position. My theory predict the lower position's overflow at the bottom exhibit a darker ghost than at the top. If you look closely, the evidence supports my theory. My theory would also predict the ghosts be of the same displacement in x and y axis, evidence suggest true.
The final observation I'd make to rebuff the shadow theory is that to cast a shadow like that the light source would have to be from the top and slight right of the picture, the reflection in the screen of the blackberry and the light gradient on the table suggests if anything the light source is to the top left.
Myth busted.

It's possible, since the duplicates at the top and the "shadows" at the bottom have the same proportions. Ah well, if anything it gives more hope that this phone is slimmer.
Also, worth noting that you can pretty easily see the power and volume rocker, but can not see evidence of a camera shutter button.
Also, posted this over on NeoGAF... let's see of anyone like zomg will chime in.

I doubt it's a 4.3, the Razr i which is the most compact 4.3" phone is bigger than the Q10. I'm guessing a 4" at max, smaller if they would go for another bezelful phone. |

Well a Sony exec did recently sate they were working on 4 and 5 inch devices, so assuming he wasn't just rounding off maybe Honami Mini is 4"
These dimensions and the leaked specs would certainly MORE than satisfy anyone who wants a tiny superphone. |

Xperia Tablet Z running Ubuntu Touch it seems

Going to be interesting to see what direction Sony goes in for mobiles in 2014. We have Android, Firefox OS and Ubuntu. Windows is always around and being utilized by the VAIO department. The only other OS I feel we might see on phones/tablets will be Playstation OS... at least I hope so. Any other OS's that Sony might be looking to utilize? |

This Ubuntu Touch is a dev ROM from xda as part of their Tablet Z competition I believe.
I don't think we'll see anything other than android for at least the first half of next year, although I'm pretty sure they're keeping a half-baked Windows Phone designs around, ready to push up to full production if/when WP takes off. It'd be naive not to.

I do wonder when we might eventually get Windows tablets as thin as the thinnest Android models. I understand they use different tech and need more internal space and whatnot, but if the Tablet Z were Windows based I would heavily consider that over the Android model. |
