Got a SPLENDID opportunity this afternoon... ... Telecoms product launch at a city hotel! Lots of people about to find out what it means to be BlueJacked! :-D I'll be taking notes on my tablet whilst surreptitiously scanning the room; I've got a dozen \"cards\" ready - and I can just 'drag n drop' em onto any phone that appears on the radar! Wish me well all.

Dunno whether to be disappointed or quietly pleased... A room full of 'communications experts' (40+) and only one bunny in my headlights. 'Neal's6310' -(don't ya luv it)
Funnily enough, I knew him - and he's the type of character that deserves all I could give him! I turned around and with a little lean I could sneak the odd discreet peak...

#1: "Virus installation detected... "
- the hand reaches for the pocket ("let the games begin")
- he looks (me smile)
- shows his mate ( )

We wait the appropriate 100 seconds...

#2: "Virus installation comlete!"
- hand back to pocket
- shows mate
- puzzled looks ( )

#3: "Your as ugly as yr phone!"

Game on!

- they both start looking around the room...
- he-he he-he

I'm still just scribbling away on my Tablet, looking mostly towards the speaker (they're at the rear, but I'm sitting in front of my table so I occasionally swivel around to rest the PC on the table - letting me look at the action at the back of the room!)

#4: "Isn't this guy boring!" (regarding the speaker)

- Now they're really starting to check out the room!

Then regarding the suppliers promises:-

#5: " & they'll still love you in the morning!"

Now the phones standing up on the table, he's pretending not to look at it, while he also pretends to NOT look around the room!!

Afterwards, he comes up to me to say high (as he'd recognised me earlier) but doesn't say anything and I honestly think he didn't pick it.

I'm like "Hi, how ya goin' ?" etc.

Hmmmm. I could start using an anonymous SIM I've got...
y'know, start (or should I say continue) SMSing him...

Whaddya reckon?

First BlueJacks!

So I was at a electronics exposition today (Holland that is), thought I'd prolly see some bricks when scanning, boy oh boy, BJ's paradise!!!

First victim, guy at a stand, had nothing to do, sent him the "Downloading virus.... 85%" followed by the "Received 100% Executing virus..." message. This guy showed the first message to his collegue who started laughing, after the second he was frantically typing away, and the other guy couldn't contain himself (nor could I!!!)

Next was a schoolguy from a group, I could spot him after the first message.. After the second he and his friends were scanning the crowd, and he said "someones is having fun with bluetooth!!"
This guy was quite smart!!

I finished with the "You've been bluejacked!!!" and oh boy did I have a laugh, as he was once again looking around who it was.

Tried some more, but many connections failed or no receiver action was detected.. and to make things worse, my battery went dead, so much for my first BJ affairs..

I has such a good laugh!!!

Keep BJ'n!!

Another FIRST BlueJack

Well, another boring Law lecture and i spot the old fart of a teacher had a Brick on his desk- so i think, KER-CHING! He is quite eagle eyed so i had to keep it short and sweet so i thought "Yawn- this is boring" would do the trick...

So we are all working silently ..bleep bleep.. He sees his phone and starts grunting.

Anyways that was my first blue-jack and im sure it will keep me entertained in many a law lessons!

p.s. there was a bloke in my class who was constantly playing with his phone, it even started ringing towards the end. Im think my teacher thought it was him!! lol -The perfect crime!

OK, sorry bout this, but a newbie question:

I have a T610, I live in a flat on a very busy street and have a main bus stop right outside (always people there with nokia's etc with bluetooth on)
I have a dongle on my PC (class 1, 100m range), is there a way to bluejack from a PC?

what exactly do i send from my phone if i do it from that? (T610)
what bit of the card shows up on their screen and what exactly does it say?

It would have to be less than 10m away, and with walls in the way etc, i'd say you wouldn't get anywhere near 10m range. But if your flat is right next to it, then you create a contact, with the message as the name, then send it via bluetooth, your phone will then find their phone, and send it.

You could allways check what your doing with your t610 and PC, try Bjacking your PC to make sure it's working.

Anyway, if you get that sorted I'll just try and see where to go to send a contact from your PC...

Ok, if you have the latest drivers for your BT adapter and outlook then do the following.... Go into outlook, creat a contact, edit the name field to your message. Now go to your contacts screen and drag that contact onto your desktop (or wherever you want to keep them) then right-click on it and click send to ---> bluetooth ---> other devices

Then search for the device and send it. Good luck!
