i also experinced the same problem with gprs. i kept looking for other possible solutions here. i saw a lot of ip addresses posted here. there were a lot and im not sure if we can use those posted on the other threads. can someone advice. does wap use ip also? cause i was told by globe cs that they have a wap ip and it is different from the gprs ip because wap "is charged by the minute unlike gprs". please advice.

thanks in advance

Globe is really screwing gprs and mms around... I doubt that they would be able to charge these services soon. Enjoy the free service while it still lasts... and the headaches that come with it.

@rickydel
welcome to ESATO PCC! (hmm ... were you the guy we met at the last rockwell EB?)

@*
good morning PCCistas! tinanghali ako ng bunot (este gising). muntik ng ma-late sa opis.

am afraid TACTEL's IP is really being blocked by globe.

@winner re:WAP
just to avoid further confusion. Globe doesnt offer "WAP service" it offers connections via CSD/GSM data (where you are charged PhP 8.00 after the first minute) or GPRS (which is still free until further notice).

@bonito re cheap PCs
if you want it cheap, check out the used market (buy and sell, bidshot ads.) sometimes there are good offers from those places. HMR and SOS naman is overpricing their lame offers, but sometimes there are also good buys from there (lalo na sa peripherals - they really dont know what they're selling)
