Does anybody know if snapdragon has a successor? feeling worried SE wont use it in X11 and get run over by HTC...

I fear that they'll still be playing catch up for the rest of the year.
I'm not really expecting any more high ends. Hopefully this means the talent at Sony and Ericsson are conjuring up something magical which will be revealed this winter.
It will be strange if SE don't announce a hero phone in the run up to the Christmas season.

 have said them-selves that the Xperia line-up is complete for the year, however I expect an announcment of several new colours for the X10, to tie in with the release of Android 2.1 and 720p. |

Well observing everything WP7 related,
I'm not surprised is not in such a hurry.
Apparently OS is very impressive in many areas,
but has limitations is probably not happy about.
I just saw big part of the camera in WP7 and looks like
there's no confirmation all of the usual camera features will be supported.
Customization is also very limited.
Symbian in reverse is so behind in many areas.

A very interesting between-the-lines comment by Eldar from M-R on his Spillikins#78 (russian). He says that, recently a large amount of Sony Ericsson phones came to him and he had to spend time examining them. He says that the next announcement will be very interesting, but release will take long time.
Seems like SE will do it again, like the last years. |

Off topic but dual core processors coming to HTC phones soon. There is a Desire HD coming as well which is a Desire with unibody design like the Legend but the extra power and higher specs.
Also, earlier this year Samsung released an mp3 player with a transparent colour touch screen. They are now making a tablet with a transparent colour touch screen which is double sided meaning that you can input by pressing the back of the screen as well as the front. Its like the Moto Backflip with that track pad on the back except you can see your fingers through the screen so its way more accurate. I'd love to see that on a phone, it would be the same as Tony Stark's mobile which was cool.
We could see an announcement in September, a few devices to be unveiled but all for 2011 release. High end stuff as well (more than one) so its worth getting excited about. If we say that one is likely to be the WP7 device, the other(s) should be........ |

thx for the info dunno how SE gonna keep up with sammy and HTC. Seems like they are spitting out new models. They need to make a satio2 with android to stand out from the crowd |

If we are only going to see any announced phones early next year then we are due for an announcement soon. Nice to learn that it's something to get excited about. They still have a lot of catching up to do.
