With the W960i (or P1i, I think should be the same), can you zoom in and out while shooting a video?
Thanks.

i have changed the CDA to World Gen 1, now updating via SEUS
I tried to update yesterday, but was told I already have the latest firmware. Bought the phone 3 days ago and it was delivered with the following:
CDA 162032/1 R6F40
Phone: R9J005
Organizer: R6F41
Guess this must be the latest? |

The latest software is I believe is not R9J but R9H, but I cannot update mine either.
Edit: Just checked, R9J005 is the latest available firmware.

Can those of you that are on a Vodafone contract, please confirm to me how you got hold of your handset (shop or directly on the phone) and whether you are a personal or business customer? I want to get my facts straight before I call them back.
Vodafone released the W960i on 2nd January. I got mine from my local branch on a free upgrade and was also able to get an online tariff. I am a personal customer. My local store has so far only sold one, to me lol. |

does anyone have any idea of battery saving or usage when you use either of the available options:
1) gsm only
2) 3g only
3) gsm and 3g
is there really going to be that much of a difference in battery performance between the 3?
(not specifically on the w960 but phones in general).

Is there any way of turning off the + symbol that appears as the first option on predictive text? |

if you have a poor 3g signal in your area forcing the phone to constantly (try to) connect turning 3g off will save the battery somewhat, i always turn 3g off. |

@5H4K, nope
@indup
like mention before, if you not plan to use video call and such, why have 3g? keeping connections with 2 networks gsm/3g takes more battery, and lower the screen brightness helps alot i always lower mine to like 40-50%

i surf the web on the phone using 3g maybe a dozen times during the day, it just seems a pain to have to always be changing the connection. |

@indup
then just adjust the brightness it gives you some boost.
read somewhere that you cold use a p1 battery, was suposed to be "more powerfull" but that was just something i read. |
