Our chinese friend and former sony ericsson employe has "unleaked"/deleted the Honami pictures, or at least they're not public anymore:

You should be grateful rather than mad, that those samples leaked (unintentionally it seems) , but I agree for once that the pics he shared didn't gave honami the justice. and now every hating trolls are feasting about its sh*tness and for sure his boss is not happy about the leaks

Agreed, let's not blame the guy, he already had a hard time at his job today
To Sony if you are reading this post: this may actually be good for you, it lowers the expectations, and honami will be all the more surprising!

Hate to quote myself, but there may be something to the name of Z1.
Unless DoomLord got the name from here and my above quoted post

Well Sony seams to be moving to more meaningful names Xperia Z was the start ..
and when 10" tablet come they name it : Xperia Tablet Z
then the phablet follow and they name it : Xperia Z Ultra
if we consider this naming convention then I'll name Honami as : Xperia Z Pro

I'm told honami is 'better' than the Nokia 1020 for imaging.
It might be on par when the sun is shining, but as soon as you go out to dinner and you need to take a group photograph using the flash... no contest. And like I said earlier.. it will be very hard to make a smaller sensor outperform a bigger one.
The 1020 will give you acceptable results in more conditions overall, which is what makes a good camera. The Honami is not a proper camera phone.. there are always going to be compromises (with the current sensor tech we have) around the size of the device, and they are all trying to find the best compromise.
The Honami, despite the smaller sensor and lack of xenon flash, will carry more volume compared to the 1020, which means that it will take more room in your hand and your pocket, its simply a bigger device. We will see about the weight. But it does have a much bigger screen which would appeal to a lot of people.. and its also water proof, which is a huge plus. I still don't understand why Nokia doesn't water proof their camera phones. |

Z / ZL / ZR / Z Ultra
Honami should have name "Z4" "ZX" "ZZ"
for combine all best of Sony
Z Pro is also sound good to me
but Z1 / Z One please don't use that ridiculous name
Sony can have something better than that

Z Giga or Z Tera, which means it's better than Z Ultra

I think if they intend on continuing the Z line and maintaining a consistent naming scheme they should go with Z2 (followed by Z3, Z4 etc). This naming scheme can be passed to follow-ups to the Ultra and Tablet too. The Z series being exactly that, a series. If they really want to start the counter from one then this could be called Z1 and next year's be Z2 etc, but that's kind of like disowning the original Z.
Z Pro would, I think, be saved for a keyboard equipped version (not that there is one, but should be reserved just in-case). Unlikely.
Adding in extra words and letters doesn't seem to make sense to me, but then again the naming scheme hasn't had any sort of consistency since The Great Idou/Satio Blunder of 2009.
