Is your internet connection using WiFi? Try resetting everything. Your WiFi dongle your router, basically everything connected to internet. |

@doministry
The first sync from a fresh flash sometimes causes issues for me too. There are a number of reasons why a sync may fail, timeout and wait a period before trying again including, a momentary drop from the ISP, the router, Google servers or your handset. This can cause the issues the issues you're describing in rare circumstances.
I've not delved into the JB update yet but I'm sure you should be able to turn off the auto-sync. If the auto-sync is at a stage of retrying after a timeout or connection drop it may still carry on retrying even after setting the sync to manual.
My instinct would be to let it auto-sync everything after the first boot, let it sit for an hour or so and settle the system down (caches tend to take a bit of time to build after a fresh flash), reboot, then turn off all the auto-syncs. This should get around a hanging sync.
Patience is a virtue is such situations.
How did you upgrade your FW? PC Companion, SEUS, flashtool or fastboot + zip? You seem to have had other issues with your FW that may be caused by corrupt files somewhere along the lines, which does happen occasionally. If you believe it may be the case, try reflashing.

I would do the reflash eventually but I travel alot now
and have no time and energy do f.... with the phone with this sh..t recovery. You know 60 apps to reinstall, all the settings etc.

I know how you feel, even after doing a repair install the battery is still rubbish compared to ICS, I know I've got to leave it a few days but still

Here's a screen shot I just took showing my battery, as you can see by the red line it's showing I have no signal even though the signal bar say's I do
And now my phone doesn't want to upload to gdrive or upload this screen shot via the stock browser I've had to transfer it to my pc and upload from there.

to those who having issues with their updated phones, is it officially SONY updated to Jelly Bean or through other means? I have Xperia TX and still haven't got my update notices, which is until March, that is.
it could also be that I'm from USA and my phone is CHINA version...
T-mobile USA network. Xperia x10i unlocked + 32GB / Xperia Neo Xperia TX LT29i Xperia Z C6606 Xperia L C2104 Xperia M Dual C2004 Currently using Xperia Z1s C6916 (T-Mobile USA)

I updated mine via official Sony means and then done a repair install of the firmware via Sony's update service.
I'm now in the process of downloading flashtool and the UK ice firmware just in case

@Big D
The TX hasn't got updates from any region yet, not even leaked ones on xda. It's not out till next month which sucks. I just hope it means we get a few of these bugs fixed.
Did you flash your TX with a global firmware in the end or did you stick with the Chinese FW? If you've changed the region you have to wait for that region's FW to be released. I'm on Taiwanese FW at the minute but will take whatever global FW first comes available on xda.
I'm personally excited about Google Now. Anyone player with it yet?

A lot of people on various sites are complaining about bugs and stuff,
but most have flashed it or previously had custom ROM etc, or too many app's that control too much of the phone.
