Those of you that have info on Honami.
Does Honami have any special technology? Like oversampling, OIS, etc?
How good is its image quality? Can it compare to Nokia's 41MP camera?
Side note: If those Honami mini rumours are true than Sony is definitely on the right track because that's how a "mini" should be, same specs, just smaller. |

Honami has the special technology that makes Samsung and Apple fear for their lives!

Honami will have a Youtube app, and i read that Lumia does not.
Steadyshot was confirmed by Ramu, we took it as in body (sensor) stabilisation, but could be software only, not sure of the trade off necessary on the size...

Are we still going crazy over honami's camera? I personally don't expect it to be so good that I don't feel the need to carry my DSLR when going for a sunset photography walk. The new lens accessories would make me consider those instead of replacing my wife's compact camera when that kicks it.
@G3ORGE
I'm told honami is 'better' than the Nokia 1020 for imaging. My source is a photographic artist who currently works for a client company of Sony Mobile in Beijing and has seen/used honami. I myself haven't seen the results to make a direct like for like comparison and I'm not sure put full faith in Sony to produce the goods at the first FW. Usually for a Q3 release phone you need to wait for about the time of the following MWC for about the time the next FW is released, most of the bugs fixed and the camera starts to reach it's potential.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

@Ricky
that isn't really the point, is it? The reason everyone is excited is the fact that Honami will make buying a point and shoot unnecessary. We really can't expect it to replace a DSLR, can we?
And as long as it's better than any other Android smartphone and even the Lumia 1020, it's a big USP for Sony.

Not directly Xperia related, but possible Vita redesign incoming:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=654687
RUMOR: Japanese newspaper Tokyo Keizai reported a rumor that Sony is set to reveal a new PS Vita model in September before the Tokyo Game Show. The new model PCH-2000 will have a 6.3" display manufactured by Samsung (screen size of the current model is 5"), and the resolution will remain at 960 x 554 pixels. The amount of RAM will increase from 512MB to 1GB, to allow more programs to run in the background, the amount of RAM used by games will be unchanged (meaning games are still compatible between old and new models). In addition, the design of the new model will be more in-line with the PS4 design; and the system will launch with new game titles.
I wonder if they're going to borrow anything from the Xperia department for this redesign, or if it'll just be a larger Vita with a slight spec bump. At first it'd make sense to use the screen from Z Ultra, but that means pushing 4x the amount of pixels, which would either cause performance issues or system fragmentation from new and old Vitas.
Really hoping they'll have this device dual boot Android. If they can pull that off that puts us one step closer to my dream of a Vita OS/Android phone with physical controls. |

Ramu people expect because there are paying money for best device,if the photo takes crap ,people wont consider just a waste upgrading your Sony Xperia phones,however as Ricky mentioned it will be better than 1020k hopefullly we can predict it as already a winner,so we Just need to shutup our eyes till September second week.
