if you are referring to the post above you you need to stop call him a troll since he is just expressing his opinions, Honestly in my opinion these shots looks not so good for the info we have gotten so far. But these pics don't mean a thing unless we can actually confirm they come from a release Honami and that they are untouched which they aren't.
He's definitely allowed to express his sentiments. But the way he did it - unnecessary mocking of us - really makes him an idiot.
On topic:
In theory, the party photos should give the best quality.

I have a feeling that the honami used is the prototype with a casing on the back, and that casing on the back causes the LED flash to reflect toward the camera and produce that blue tint on the side.
To be honest I am quite impressed with the lowlight, I mean if the exif data is right, most of those shots are at ISO 1000 and ISO 800 yet they are still very usable imo. Usually the limit is at iso 400, but these shots are quite decent for such high isos. Just make sure when you zoom in, wait for it to load when you view it on the photo viewer.

Do you think there's still a chance that Sony will release Honami with Android 4.3, on the day that they release Honami?
No, the 14.1.x firmwares are 4.2. There has been no sign of any later firmwares being approved as yet.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

Seems to me some of the guys here are just posting in this thread to troll, those of you who criticizes the samples for being crap must get a DSLR, with all due respect, I'm challenging everyone to hotlink a clean noise free and detailed cameraphone sample here in this thread shot at that ISO800-1000 and prove me wrong.

Those people clearly didn't check the EXIF data or have no idea what is high ISO photography the last time I checked dpreview.com, even the 808 pureview at full resolution looked crap at such setting

I've to agree with Razec, some people here are just hell bent on mindless trolling. If the pics are crap we will say that, nobody is gonna sugarcoat the crappy nature of the pics.
But before saying "crap" kindly go and compare ISO1000 low light shots from other cameraphones and also cybershot HX50V. To me these samples look comparable to the HX50V. |

I'm not very good at photography and I'm not a photographer so I'm a noob but don't these people know that high ISO lead to more grain in picture? It's not so complicated |

Ok time for some reality check...
my ancient canon 1100D (APS-C) vs HX200v (1/2.3" sensor) vs Galaxy Camera (1/2.3" sensor) vs 808 pureview (at full resolution mode 8mp)
my ancient canon 1100D (APS-C) vs HX200v (1/2.3" sensor) vs Galaxy Camera (1/2.3" sensor) vs 808 pureview (at pureview mode 8mp)
ALL SHOT AT ISO 800
I did my part on the challenge, now where were those trolls who are expecting brilliant pictures at ISO800-1000?
my apologies for these seemingly arrogant post, but I want some of you guys to get the point, higher ISO leads to noise, and that's normal. TBH those examples reflect those that I've seen previously. I once said Honami's photos are good up to ISO400, and photos shot at ISO800 above are very noisy, and that's what exactly reflects with these leaked samples isn't it?

come on guys.. don't even waste your time defending anything against people who clearly just want to trash the photo samples, honami, and sony. i'm not sure what pleasure they get out of doing it, but i guess everyone has their hobbies.
truthfully, the pictures are crappy.. but basically any camera phone and most point and shoots at that high of an ISO will produce crappy pictures. so it's not really saying anything.
i'm not worried

Trolls are always trolls wherever you prove. They may get paid to do so to make a living. So it is wise for all of us to just leave them alone. |

LOL. Samsung galaxy camera with it's 16mp and similar size sensor looks crap compared to sony hx200v. I thought lower mp will lead to better image quality

and look at that prized 808 pureview, at full res ISO800 the HX200V is trashing it. at 8MP pureview mode, it may look alot less noisier than the cybershot, but it resolves alot less details, so much for oversampling
