@ G-Man: Ya, would be keen to fiddle with a n95 or n82 on the same subject matter. Or even a LG KU990 Viewty. Bring on the rumoured 2008 cameraphones too.

Eish Gucci,
That must be so damn frustrating. I can imagine how miffed I'd be if I was working on something that required a good deal of my time on the PC and then suddenly have no electricity...
It's so easy to sav that one should've saved the changes at random intervals, but that's as bad as someone saying "I told you so..." Agh, happens to the best of us boet. I once was busy with a moerse post on esato and then lost it when the broadband internet connection went AWOL...

@ Jojo,
Most people, including myself before I first came to the UK 11 years ago, mistake Tower Bridge for London Bridge. The famous nursery rhyme adds to this misconception a lot.
There is indeed a London Bridge, which is the next bridge east of the famous Tower Bridge, along the Thames River.
Tower Bridge is the one everybody instantly recognises, with its 'opening' drawbridge road across it. It is right by the famous Tower Of London fortress.
London Bridge, on the other hand, has been built, dismantled and rebuilt in different guises over the centuries, on the same location.
Many years ago, one of its incarnations was bought by a super-wealthy American, then completely dismantled and shipped to America, where it was completely re-assembled there!
The original London Bridge had houses n' stuff built on it as well, and was the main bridge crossing for many 'commoners' centuries ago. Unfortunately its more restrictive arches didn't allow the river to flow as much as it should've over the Winter periods, which caused the river to occasionally freeze up when temperatures plummeted.
The modern London Bridge is quite a boring looking bridge, compared to its far, far more illustrious neighbour-bridge. It is lit up with all red lights at night.
Here's a pic of London Bridge taken from the floating WW2 warship museum, HMS Belfast, taken with the N73 that I had:
...and at night, the first one here was actually taken from Tower Bridge itself, to show the distance between the two bridges:
..and a close-up of London Bridge at night:

Thats true though i should have, saved at random intervals but since we already had a 2hour power cut during the afternoon i thought i was in the clear and decided to full steam ahead and just "do EVERYTHING now and save later"
Ah well,ye it happens,il live lol, learnt a good lesson though like you did with that post
Great pics there! And thanx for the lil history lesson i also mistaked Tower Bridge for London Bridge but now you've cleared it all up, you learn something new everyday hey.

@ Gucci,
Dang, well let's hope they sort out these increasing issues before the World Cup.. can you imagine how embarrassing if it happens during live matches, with hundreds of millions of people around the world watching...

me and a couple of friends were actualy joking around about power cuts in the World Cup! They wouldn't be able to do night games lol!
When the 2hour power cut startd today my cousin and I were at Fourways Mall and the ONLY shop with a generator was Woolworths the rest had to sort of kick customers out and close early, its absolutely pathetic!

2 P1i pics taken today on Wanqa's Travels, of the Gatwick Express train which runs to and fro from London Victoria station to the UK's second biggest airport, ie. Gatwick Airport, which is near Crawley in the county of Surrey. It's a 30 minute direct train ride.

The 2 pics above are slightly over-exposed, but they'll do considering the dark backgrounds on the left.
@ Gucci,
Ya boet, I wonder how much all our knowledge has exploded with the advent of the internet, WAP etc.
I can't bury myself in mega-page novels n' books, but I feed off knowledge from The 'Net.

@ Gucci:
Hey, nice pic, boet! That 2mp cam sure captured that outdoor carpark pic well.
Nah, I prefer the white Nissan 1400 bakkie next to it. More practical, cheaper on tyres, insurance etc... LOL, jokes. That's one awesome set of wheels. Sigh, no prizes what rugby team the super-wealthy owner supports. Even the massive yellow brake calipers can be clearly seen behind those mags.
The Italians sure know a thing or two about mechanical exotica.
