From the demo and some live pix, it appears that SE has removed the pencil & paper graphic that goes with "Write New Text" in the T610. Is this for real or are ther some buggy firmware out there. I kinda like that graphic. |

I've just powered mine on and the first thing I checked was the memory as I know alot of people are interested in that.
It showed 41174kb
to get to the icon menu you no longer press right joystick but in fact you press the joystick in. if you press right joystick you are prompted whether you want to create a shortcut for that action.
regarding the write new text icon, when you click messaging the first option is "write new" and it does have a paper and pen (or pencil) next to it but its small. if you click that you then get the option to wrote new text message or wrote new picture message.
I'll do a review tonight which will include a comparison of the K700 against the Txx0/z600 functionality and menus etc

Lot's of places in Sweden have it in their central warehouses... They said that they'd get thier today so they will probably have it in the stores tomorrow or the day after tomorrow (provided that there are no natural catastrofes )
My friend'll buy one too! He's never had a cellphone before (he's 15! so I don't know how that's possible )

it is a hong kong model (as is my T630) with the english characters and chinese symbols. being from HK it has a UK style plug but because I bought it in Germany it comes with a euro adaptor. There is also a chinese manual and an english manual included.
a couple of quick snaps
