- Who develop Sony camera app ? Sony Mobile(Sweden) or Sony in Japan ?
Because most apps in Xperias develop at Lund ,Sweden
- Sony Japan know this issue or not ? or they knew but don't care smartphone market ?

I guess you're right. They don't really care. If they were care then Xperia would be bad like this.
It's just like they make Xperia just to let the world know that.... there's smartphone from SONY.

I remember someone a while ago posted here a link of a chat on weibo.
They were talking about IFA phones.
I translated the chat, but it was very confusing.
All I could understand was one team made software for XZs.
Then another team made of XZP.
Something about someone who worked on A7s.
Any tech site says XZP does better than XZs.
The DxO review, I cant say if in their opinion XZP is better, equal or a bit behind XZ.
The score is better than S6 Edge.
New tests are very confusing.
I have seen many samples of videos from XZP. I could not see any stabilization issue.
Steady Shot has always been great.
Sony has always got highest score of AF.
XZ had 95. U11 is the only non-Sony to reach 95.
Now u11 has 90, Pixel 98.
XZP has 88 I guess.
GSMArena did XZP x U11 x i7+.
XZP was the winner.
Of course a photographer knows much more than someone that is not a photographer.
But I doubt XZP is not better than XZ or Z5.
BTW, DxO just gave 92 to iphone8 and 94 to iphone8+.
I doubt they are that good.
Now that they xheck Bokeh and zoom, phones with dual cam will have much higher score than single cam phones.

The link is for the older scores. Keep this link and see how the rankings change. The way they made this new system that gave the iPhone 8 over 90 will reshuffle many devices and for sure you will see good devices drop suddenly while junk devices move up. X Performance got 88 with S7 Edge and S8 but I can guarantee iPhone 7 Plus will move ahead of these. S8 will get 84 max. |

Iphone 7 was 86, now is 85.
Iphone 7+ is 88, was not tested before.
This new method, no matter if a phone has low score of AF, color or noise..
Higher score for bokeh and zoom with give advantage.

Many good things were said about XZP. Even the auto mode.
Most situations it was ahead of u11.
I understand the distortion story, some units are fine.
Some units are very bad.
But shots do not look worse than any Samsung or iphone.

it's almost impossible to challange dual-camera setup for new flagship devices with dxomark's new ranking system. |

There's XZ1 launch event last Tuesday in Thailand and many of my friend have discuss with SONY staff and the staff told my friend there will be Xperia with Dual Camera next year.
Not sure how SONY will use Dual Camera for... hope at least one of them will have OIS or Optical Zoom.

Move cam to where nfc is on Z phones.
Vertical sensor bar beside it...
Any info on sales?
If things are going as planned...
Q1 was 10% better than last year Q1.

20MP and 1 inch sensor and 4x optical zoom = RX100. This will not fit inside a smartphone sized device. |

I dont mind something thick like feature phone.
I still have W395 Walkman.
Awesome phone.
Not sure if it is dead or just need new battery.
Next MWC is 10 years of X1.
Something extreme is necessary.

This is true, Xperia branding first launched in 2008. I to am hoping Sony have something special lined up for their 10 year anniversary!  |

Maybe HTC can help Sony out again just like they did it with the Xperia X1 which was designed and build by HTC....
Sony phones are just there to promote their new camera modules for their business customers just like the new IMX400. Keeping the newest sensor exclusive for a period of time to make their fan base get the feeling of buying something special which is worth paying load of sh*t of money. Probably the amount of money they make with the smartphone business is enough for R&D investment at their camera module division.
I'm followings the Sony forums (mobile review, esato...) For years now and it's always the same: Wait for next year that's when Sony will come up with something awesome....it's like waiting at a train station for the train to come but not realizing that there are no tracks anymore..... |
