@sonysta
I don't think anybody even mentioned about 808(let alone say that i1 will match/beat it), we are only discussing 1020 vs i1.

You're always overreacting Sonysta and needles to say, wider angle lens doesn't mean better image quality

Razec previously stated that Honami would be better than the 808 Pureview, something totally unrealistic !
For best calculations algorithms that are applied in camera Honami, such a feat is impossible and the reasons we all know !
But I agree with you and most !
1020 has a camera disappointing and Honami has everything to offer the best photographic results that the Windows Phone Nokia !

what happened to your original account anyway?
I'm hoping some lowlight picture samples will leak that was taken with the more recent software for honami. So far I think it's safe to assume that daylight pics are of good quality already since the sample is very promising in terms of IQ.

Could you refer me to the exact post where I said "Honami would be better than the 808 Pureview" if you did, I'll carefully explain to you in kind why I arrived on such assumption

Geez, your posts are always hard to understand
just curious, I wonder what happened with your old account? and from the way you post, it seemed less arrogant and aggressive than your old account used to.
PS: 1020 camera is not disappointing, (in theory it should be as good as the 808) it's the JPEG processing that ruins the promising HW.

I will try to find out what the final name is, my friend has referred to it as i1 9 times out of 10 and Z1 once, but I think that may have been a mistake.
I'm not expecting miracles from i1's camera, I think they'll try to leave the miracles to the lens accessories. If i1 kicks the ass of everything who will buy the lens?
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

Randomuser and Razec... I will not argue nor fight with you !
I'm just putting my opinion, which is based on the opinion of the majority !
And Razec said Honami will be better than the 808 Pureview on page 1051 !
Rasec Finally, if you think I'm arrogant and aggressive, I have nothing to comment, only to regret !
If your intention is discussion and bickering, I regret to inform you, but I will not fight nor argue with you !
Here I want to talk just about technology ! Ok ?
So based on the technology say that Honami ever will offer superior image quality to 808 Pureview, but it sure will be a great cameraphone, the best since the great C901 !!!

@Sonysta
I am not fighting with you buddy
I'm just trying to clear a misunderstanding, Razec did NOT mention honami will beat 808. What he said was even though Honami doesn't downsample images like Nokia Pureview cameras, the 20MP picture downsized to 8 MP provides excellent results as do pureview 808/1020 in pureview mode. |

@Sonysta
No offense there, but I'm just trying to be objective as much as possible, if you felt insulted when I called you as such, then it is of my utmost displeasure to be such a person. I extend my humble apologies with you

The amazing thing about honami is its smaller sensor (1/2.3) could beat nokia 1020(2/3) sensor lol |

This, but first and foremost, shooting themselves in the foot???
Really??
Where is the hard evidence that Nokia 1020 sells like crazy?
From what I read here and there, it is another failure in terms of sales...
Now, Sony would be shooting themselves in the foot by getting their flagship into a race to match the needs of a minority.
Nokia and Sony want to differentiate. Nokia made their choices, we see the results in terms of sales everyday.
Sony is making their choices, different choices, and looking at Nokia sales, people should be releived they do not do the same thing as Nokia
I think you misread my post. I didn't say 1020 is selling like hotcakes. I was referring to how competitive the premium market is (iOS, other Android handsets), it's hard for Sony to put all of its chips on the table. We can't conclude that just making an external lens makes it seem like Sony is shifting their strategy. They are known to make niche products.
Nokia has no fear in stepping onto its own foot because it has none. They have no compact camera market share to be careful of. They can just dump all the latest and greatest into the device to grab the users in the compact camera market.
Sony can try to do the same, but it's risky, like I said, considering how much competition there is. Nokia's WP platform, well...I won't say how well they're doing since you already know

Hey mate, no I did not misread, but i must have miswrote
I disagread with Ambi, not you, i was actually going your way, arguing against the shooting in the foot remark, this makes no sense to me, just explained why.
