Oi, I did not even know that there were an SA channel on Sky - seeing as I dont have Sky!
Never crossed my mind to get it as I hardly ever watch TV. To be honest, the only programs I actually watch on TV is the various CSI episodes on Channel 5. O, and Top Gear on BBC1.
Other entertainment for me is to go to the cinema and watch a movie when I have the time. My work involves a lot of travelling so I dont have time to watch TV at all.
BTW is the Yebo Gogo adverts still on TV over there? I used to find them very amusing....

@ Uncle Bob,
You've probably seen or heard of the 'Orange Wednesdays' scheme, which most cinemas in the UK support.
Although I am not a big Orange fan and don't use them as my main network, I have an Orange PAYG simcard in my spare phone. As you probably know, it's a simple case of sms'ing 'FILM' to 241, and almost immediately receive an sms with a unique reference number, which you show when buying your cinema tickets, and then get 2 movie tickets for the price of 1, but as the name says, only on Wednesdays.
The sms only costs 10p.
I only use the Orange simcard for this! If you want to get your hands on an Orange PAYG sim, saak the cellphone shops..Orange simcards are currently on special for a whole whopping £1 from Orange's website. Oh, and it's free delivery.
Here's the link, if you are interested:

Lekker fliek!

Thanx Swaer.
Followed your advice and just bought one for a pound with free delivery within 7 days. I'll wack that sim in my kak nokia 6230 instead of throwing the thing away as my original intention was.
Waar is die Biltong?

The Yebo Gogo ads are still on tv but they've animated the two main characters. Currently they've got what looks like an animated meerkat advertising Vodafone Live.

I thought the stripping meerkat ad was quite funny, the first 1 or 2 times I saw it...

Up the Hammers!
Well done, West Ham! Back in the Premiership after 2 difficult years in the Coca-Cola Championship. The whole of East London here, home to West Ham's Upton Park stadium, seems to be going ballistic..cars hooting, people in the streets around Green Street and The Boleyn...gr8!
The much-needed cash incentive from the Premiership should get rid of most of the debts. About time.
Anyway, back to the cellphone stuff...the once-hideously expensive Blokia 8910i's are going for around £160 on eBay, in as-new/factory recondtioned condition. There's 12 currently available from 1 of the suppliers.
Very, very classy IMO, titanium housing, 'up-periscope' mechanism etc. OK, it's very low on modern specs, it has the old 4096 colour screen, no camera, etc., but at least it has Bluetooth..(wow..)
Still, I think it's a really suave piece of kit. At the price above, it's almost tempting...
The 8800 doesn't float my boat in the same way, I prefer the 8910i's more angular lines than the contemporary 8800's more rounded appearance.

Is it 3G only ? I thought MTN will launch the 3.5G in june :-( however their EDGE is lighting fast in PE . I and a close friend tested it on a 6630 (btw nice cell!) and won over the vodacoms 3G hands down. Also is not as sensitive to the tower distance as 3g is :-)

According to AndyO who tested the trial service on a Samsung SGH-Z130 the signal is relatively better then Vodacom's because they're using several base stations which overlap eachother.

Any 3G network has to start with normal speeds @ 384kbps and than upgrade to HSDPA.Look at any other broadband technolgy at 1st it will be at a std speed and than upgrades to a higher speed. The main difference with 3G compared to other broadband tech.3G upgrades are all software driven and other broadband tech you need new hardware...............Samsung is tendering for Cell C 3G network.I dont know when Cell C will have 3G

When it comes to network equipment Ericsson have one of the best reputations around. Problem for MTN will be getting content to create a demand for the speeds offered by 3G...hope they don't charge ridiculous prices for downloads like Vodafone Live.
