TonyG > Have you asked SE about my problem? anyway, here's the question again :-
1) Is it possible to upgrade my phone (which i bought from cashline singapore) in malaysia so i can use malaysian software?
2) If I upgrade here in Malaysia will it void my warranty back in Singapore?
3) Is it true that I can't use GPRS here in Malaysia just because my software isn't 'Malaysian'? Is there such a thing?
4) Will the network enhancement in R2F (singapore version) enhance my phone's performance here back in Malaysia?
ok i think that's all for now. THanks alot!
Cheers! |

orang3-> I have seen the phone in CommunicAsia 2002, it looks nicer than the N 7650. I do not know is the phone same weight as N7650? And hopefully the price is more moderate and affordable. |

Judgin by the price of the 7650 and the popularity of nokia in singapore, I've a feeling the p800 will be well above $1000. But It'll do good to wait around 3 months after the release. The price will definitely fall by around 7%-10%.
BTW, how many m1 customers out there? Any mms to trade? |

gilthoneil-> SE had replied to your quiery.
1) Is it possible to upgrade my phone (which i bought from cashline singapore) in malaysia so i can use malaysian software?
Ans: It is possible to upgrade in Malaysia
2) If I upgrade here in Malaysia will it void my warranty back in Singapore?
Ans: Upgrading will not void your warranty
3) Is it true that I can't use GPRS here in Malaysia just because my software isn't 'Malaysian'? Is there such a thing?
Ans: Not true
4) Will the network enhancement in R2F (singapore version) enhance my phone's performance here back in Malaysia?
Ans:Will not be comment on this, as far as we know it is to improve on radio performance, it is better to check with the country you are using.

P800 is the phone to wait for this yr, i think it will be a big hit in singapore since Nokia already launch thei 7650, it will be how much is the selling price for P800 and when they're going to launch it as the talking pt now ??
I feel P800 is way above N7650 in terms of tech as it is a complete PDA phone for me

I'm quite sure I'll be getting the p800 but really all depends on the price. Quite pissed that the release of the t68i has devalued our t68ms so trade in for the m's will be much lower then the i's even though we have the same sw and performance. |

yes i agree .. made a wrong move by releasing the T68i .. i too feel cheated .. if the P800 is below the SGD1000 what do you think ?

Correct me if I am wrong, is N 7650 is a PDA phone? If it is not, how can it compared to P800? Talking about PDA phones from other brands, I will still prefered P800. Unless the price is sky high that I could not afford it. |
