I don't. Never used it on my P990i for some reason. Think its because I always use stylus therefore two handed use for anything other than phone calls etc.

I'm tempted to get the O2 Pay as you go phone from Carphonewarehouse and put my orange sim in it...

Does anyone know if the O2 Pay as you go phone is unlocked?

I was looking at this, then found they did it handset only for £349.95 - so popped into Carphone Warehouse and found they actually had it in stock. So far quite impressed, just need to get used to UIQ3 from 2.

Spot on!! I still wish they had included 5 way jog for UIQ3 devices. The P910i was still my best phone for user interface. Only bought the P990 because I lost my P910i and it was no longer available for sale.

Must admit I'm loving the W960i much more than the P990i. Big factors are the much more usable today screen, the excellent Walkman player/8GB storage and the large amount of RAM for multitasking.

It's taken me a fair while to get the WLAN working with mine. Turned out it doesn't like AES. Switched to TKIP and it connects fine!

Very poor range on it though. My living room's through two thick walls and my Wii is located at the far end of the room which connects fine. If I stand in the same place with my PSP, it connects fine. If I leave the room with the router when using the W960i - network connection lost! Not so good but fine for outside hotspots.

Not that impressed with the Opera browser but I'm getting used to it. I'll forgive it seeing as the walkman / rest of phone's really good!

Hey Guys, I have been lurking around this forum for a while now, and decided to post some bits, had my phone on a Vodafone contract now for a couple of weeks and have some points and questions I would like to raise.

- Text messages, does anyone find there is no reply arrow when they reply to a text message? My phone doesn't display this, very frustrating.

- Push email, I cannot get this to work. I have the same settings that I had in my 880i and the email worked fine and push email was great. Not on this phone it doesn't - all the push email settings are turned on, but it just doesn't notify me of a new email. Has anyone managed to get this set up? I am using a Hotmail account for my email.

- Shake feature, I read somewhere there is a feature on the phone, where you shake it and it changes track, is this right? Does it work?

- My box says 960 rather than 960i. Assuming this is the same phone?

A few observations:

- To speed up the phone:

I find turning off transitions helps a lot; Menu > Tools > Control Panel > Device > Transitions > Off

Keep an eye on your running applications, the top right there are some arrows for your task manager, the more open apps there are the slower I find the phone runs, so try to keep these down.

On a positive note, the phone has not once crashed, I love the tabbed browsing for the internet, and how easy it is to use the WLAN. The interface is neat and once you get used to the phone and set-up of the jog wheel I think its a very good phone

Adam.

No gapless playback that I'm aware of & never advertised as having it either.

Not an issue for me as I've never used gapless playback on my iPod either.

I would assume changes the way the pages switch between each other when making a selection. The transition from one screen to the next. Nothing in the manual about it, but turning it off didn't make any visual difference for me, only sped it up.
