Yes, it should clock down to the lower speed of your existing ram since it's DDR 2.

However it's always a safer bet to have all RAM modules the same speed if possible since some older (and cheaper) motherboards might not support clocking down.

Need some help.

I am booting Feodora off of an external HDD and have a few questions.

1) The thing sounds like it will take off, can I pull the fan plugs out or will it get too hot?

2) Is there any way to have an option when I boot up to choose Feodora or Vista?

At the moment i'm stuck with having to go into the bios and change the boot device priority.

Thanks

well, if you dual boot (on the one hard drive) you'd get the grub (afaik) bootloader that allows you to select which os you use

Check the sound card output settings? Is it set to 5.1 or something maybe?

Well if the sound actually works with desktop speakers or headphones but not with the audio cable then it's probably a setting on your telly, I'd have thought

Good luck!

It's gone and gotten fooked! Did I mention that you shouldn't really partition memory sticks, just format them?

Did you ever get linux working properly? That might be able to recognise and do something with it if you're lucky
