Was just thinkin' sureley somewhere there is one of those, 'update' files that could be for 1.0, so we could install it, and 'up-downgrade' to it?

Or is that wishful thinking?

There certainly won't be a v1.0 'downgrade' released by Sony BUT I know people are working on extracting the firmware files manually and constructing their own installer to downgrade to 1.0

I don't think I'd risk it myself though

expensive paperweight, so I take it there was not a firmware before 1.0, was, 1.0 the first one? because I know there was 1.1, but the homebrews don't work on that either!

I think, rather then waiting for a homebrew v1.0 Downgrade, its better to wait for emu's which can work with v1.5. I think it'll take equally long for those guy's to do it.

@ Chazzer3
Never heard that phrase before?

There is nothing before 1.0 (unless there are some development versions but we won't ever see those now)
Also there is no 1.1 that I know of. Only 1.0, 1.5 and 1.51

@ fatreg
They haven't done it yet so u cannot try it even if u wanted to

Anyone who wants to buy a PSP from a UK-based importer better hurry up! It looks like Sony are sending 'cease & desist' letters to importers such as ElectricBirdLand to stop them importing and selling. Dunno how successful they'll be...

"Sony has taken legal action against resellers flogging PlayStation Portable (PSP) devices ahead of the official 1 September European launch. The consumer electronics giant has sent "cease and desist" letters to grey market traders that are selling PSPs to UK punters after importing them from either Japan or the US, where the eagerly sought gadget is already on sale."
