TonyG - The IMEI No on the packaging that says "Supports Asian Languages" is the same as the phone's. That should eliminate the possibility of the dealer putting a European phone into an Asian phone packaging.

I have PM you the IMEI No. Thanks again.

amlim-> Just to let you know that I have got your imei no. I will forward it to SE Singapore right away on Monday morning. Great! Hopefully that you are right. And let's see how will SE Singapore settle your problem if they found out that your phone is an Asian set. Will hear from me as soon as I got the reply.

TonyG- I have the feeling that SE Singapore will tell you that my set is a European set. This was what SESC told me. I guess I may have to live with the European languages.

amlim-> No harm trying. I can guarantee you that SE will not take side. After all the SC is appointed by them, whey should SE side the SC. As I have said to you, if it is due to the SC fault, SE will definitely work out with the SC and work out something for you. I had one case similar to yours. At last the phone owner was happy with the arrangement that SE proposed. Sorry I cannot tell you what is the arrangement like. It depends on individual case. After all, the IMEI no. will tell the story, the SC also cannot take cover if the damage is done by them. If you think you are right, be confident in it.

dairin-> If you specially just want to upgrade R2F only, my opinion is it is not worth the trip yet. I felt that after the upgrading there is nothing special. As SE said this is only to enhance with the operator network. I really felt nothing unusual. But if you intend to start using the MMS, I do reccomend you should go for the upgrading, Perhaps this sw had something to do with it. Unfortunately my is ST. Still no use for me. SE is trying hard to chase the soft tones sw from HQ, still no indication yet. Will let you know once there is news as promised.
