hi guys.. new Aino user here.. just bought mine yesterday.. and im starting to love this fone! it took me a week to decide which one to buy.. keypads and FM radio are my most important priorities.. so my two choices were LG Crystal and the Aino.. so i went with Aino also because of the PS3 remote play

thanks bronxdude (kabayan! ) and hihihans! ill try to post some pics later.

im still familiarizing myself with this fone. i just reflashed the software last night to the latest one. and i havent encountered any problems so far.

i have a couple of question though:

1. whats the meaning of the letter 'G' icon above the signal bars at the standby screen? is it 3G? it seems like it changes from time to time. earlier today i think it was letter 'E'.. im not sure

2. can i configure this phone so that it will not access using 3G? coz 3G here is quite expensive (the pricing is per bytes used).. yesterday i was logged in at facebook, but my wifi got cut off and i saw the fone access facebook via 3G.. so i dont want that to happen, maybe it could use GPRS instead.. is it possible?

That G means u are browsing over GPRS bandwidth, and when it changes to "E" it means u're in EDGE coverage. (EDGE is slightly faster than GPRS)

Go to Settings->Connectivity->Mobile networks->GSM/3G networks and select "GSM only"

go to internet icon. once the browser loads up, press the left button twice quickly (you'll see a wrench (?) icon).

Then youll see another menu EXIT BROWSER is the 1st one. Scroll all the way down till you see HISTORY.

But you can delete that by going to SETTINGS (last line on the same menu). Once loaded, go to the diamond-shaped tab. This will bring out the OTHER tab. Then you can delete everything there, including cookies, cache and history

ginoboy - what can you say about 084's sound quality? I personally hate it. I modded my phone and have it replaced by another audio driver.

Also, try to visit Pex (Pinoyexchange), we have our local thread there under technology forum

@bronxdude, i reflashed my fone the very same day i purchased it, so i was not really able to compare the sound quality from the previous fw. why? is it really worse? i find it good. i love the fact that i can even adjust the equalizer to suit my preferences.

ok, il check out PEX
