I was going to buy it a couple a months back then heard about the new 60gb for £200. Waiting for that I heard price cuts in September so I waited again. Now just gotta wait for Pro Evo or Fifa. Burnout Paradise is on my list as well, with all the new bikes and all.

Should have just bought it a few months back!!

Which one is it this year, Pro Evo 09 or Fifa 2009?

Looks like FIFA again. Everyone's talking about its 10 v. 10 online play. Haven't heard anything about Pro Evo (for a reason?).

Quick Question, if I bought a new xbox with HDMI port built in, what cable do I need to get 1080i Output?

The xbox ones are component cables, some upto 720 only. Do I just need a standard HDMI cable for the Pro 60gb? cos it comes with a component vga one only.

Last one, whats the difference between the Pro and the Elite apart from the colour, the bigger harddrive?

@Oli
10 vs 10 sound good! So far from what I've read it does sound like its going to be Fifa though I'm more of a Pro Evo fan myself.

I'm almost 100% positive that a standard HDMI cable will do the job. Although if you want seperate audio outputs you'll need to buy the official Xbox360 HDMI which comes with some special audio out adapter (according to the M$ site?).

Played the demo and enjoyed it but i think the whole game might annoy me a bit. It was awful fiddley, all that chucking things about with the force lol. Damn i'm getting old.

Cheers, I'll go for the Pro 60gb and get a HDMI standard cable hopefully that should do it.

I'm 99% sure just about any HDMI cable will work, I dont have that much experience with xbox, but I think almost all HDMI cables have the same wiring.

Cheers everyone, ended up buying from Argos. If anyones planning on getting one they've got a fairly good deal on the Pro. The Pro 60gb for £170 with free Halo 3 and until the end of tomorrow a free £10 gift voucher since you're spending over a £100. So thats £160 for the Pro 60 gb and Halo 3 when ordered together and ask for the voucher, though they're suppose to tell you, they smiled when I asked as if I wasnt suppose to know.

One thing I'm not liking though is the fact that you have to buy something new to do fairly necessary things. Like £15 for the play and charge kit for the wireless controller, network cable/wifi to connect to the router, voucher to get online, hdmi cable for full hd, etc.

The least they should have done is a wire to make the wireless controller wired (I've never liked batteries), a 5m network cable instead of the wasted 1m cable, a hdmi cable and 6 months online. Thats pretty fair and cheap to do since its mainly just wires, saves a lot of hassle.

Anyway, if I needed to, is there a way to connect more than 3 wired controllers?Since there are only 3 USB ports, maybe a USB hub?
