Im hoping for a Windies win.If you heard the commentator in the first test saying the Windies hadn't won a test outside their country for a very long time,I think if my memory serves me right, since 2000 (or was that a test series?) So I say go Windies.

Seems Smith must've somehow telepathically heard or read The Hobbsters remark above, and got himself out... 61/2 now..

Eish boet; I'd gladly trade some of the weather down there for the cold we're experiencing at the moment.
Just switched the central heating on in the house now, so hopefully I'll soon start thawing out a bit.
At least tomorrow will (apparently) be better, around 8 degrees celsius...

Maaaagandang gabi, mate.
Yeah, January and February are usually the coldest here.
BTW, I bought a delightful seat for my 'rat bike' off eBay...it's a cast iron vintage tractor seat! Will take a pic of it with the P1i when it arrives.
I can see that I'll have to get the mrs to make a special cushion for it, otherwise my butt's not going to be very impressed....LOL.

Just want to ask you professor . . what's the fastest SPEED you've made with your Bikes My classmate told me that manage to hit the - 250 km/h speed he wanted to go further . . . but whe he was about to . . . he starts seein' - Lucifer in his front-view . . . He told me that the Bike (perhaps his') can hit the brink @ - 320 Km/h

roflmao!! Only in Mzansi
I remember once out at the range when a buddy had just acquired an Ithaca M37, i sat next to him while he stripped it down, gave it a thorough clean then reassembled it. Even though i had been sitting there the entire time, and even though there wasn't a cartridge in sight, my poephol clenched tighter than a duck's butt when he cranked her up and swung the barrel in my direction!

@ Jojo,
The fastest I've done here in the UK is 140mph (approx 225km/h) between Grays and Rainham in Essex, where there's no speed cameras. I very seldom go as fast as that here, due to concerns of being nabbed by a speed camera in maybe an area I don't know so well. Oh, and I don't ride that fast when the better half is with me; she doesn't mind the speed, but I'm still far more 'sensible' then.
In SA, I've gone faster far more often, due to the more open roads, less speed cameras, etc. In the UK, I'm always cautious that if I'm caught speeding, it's a minimum of 3 points off my 12 point driving licence, plus a fine...
When I'm in a familiar area here where there aren't any cameras about, I do tend to 'twist the throttle' a lot more...
I do miss riding superbikes with my friends in SA a helluva lot.

I think he might've consumed too much 'tuba' or gin before he told you that, mate. The only way a R1 is going to go above 300 km/h is if he had that engine's >300km/h electronic governor cut-off disabled.
The only way he'll get it to 320km/h is if he puts in high-compression pistons, a gas-flowed head, ignition advancer, racing cams and had the engine blueprinted...or a World Superbike-spec engine.
320km/h is deristricted Suzuki Hayabusa territory, but not R1..

@pop - OK, thanks for the INFO . . . so that MAX for the R1 canNOT hit the 320 km/h mark Because that's what he told me . . . OR perhaps the MAX a Big Bike can GO When we are discussing about the speed, he always made mention of the Ducato 1098 model . . . can that hit the 320 km/h SPEED
My OLD classmate is a veteran Big Bike rider pal . . . he was already riding some big bikes when we were in our 3rd year High School - 16 years old He was always riding his Dad's Honda CB-650 then . .. I manage to ride with him thrice I guess.
