Boyst, re: Siemens SX45 (Pocket PC with cellphone) you were talking about - met 2 Siemens reps this AM. They will market it in Pinas by December. At the estimated price of P40K to P50K, i dont think this could grab sales from SE P800 or any of the other less pricey PPCs.

@ Arnold, I just very recently helped a friend upgrade his old system to a Yamaha RX-V2200 and a Dali/Velodyne speaker combo with a 42" Plasma screen.

Sounded pretty good actually.

@arnold: There are some very decent priced receivers ranging from P15k to P25k I think. If you're looking for the option of upgradability (upgrading your Dolby Digital or DTS later on) most of the top of the line models (Denon and Onkyo, Yamaha I'm not sure) are upgradeable. But of course, pricewise they be upwards of P80k I think.

yeah saw your post re: Siemens SX45! in that case it is definitely not the same market as in nokia-7650 or SE-P800 (actually those two shouldn't be compared. but we can't help comparing anyway. they were the first cellphones to show up in the market with built in cameras). i'm sure the techno savvy group will have to check that out too. if only to criticize it or eventualy buy it. but as i see it.... if VisorTreo 90/270 can have a slice off the local market, then i'm sure this SX45 can do so too.
(who were those siemens people you met? call you later. thanks)

@ Arnold,

I'm also helping another friend do his system. He decided on the Denon AVR 3802 receiver.

The Denon is available here for P56K (Made in China), but he ended up buying his unit in Singapore for P35K (Made in Japan). He chose it over the Yamaha because it's 7.1 as opposed to the Yamaha's 6.1.

We haven't tested it yet in his room because we haven't decided on the speakers.

yeah saw that one. looks like it's as thick as the 7650, but definitely bigger screen. see the one where they put it inside their pockets?
...same result as when you put in a 7650 inside your pockets. yes the MemoryStickDuo goes in the side, where the stylus is clipped. and THAT memostick is a big point against the competiton!

@darkness, no need for the apology, and my intention has always been to put the important topics where they should be, so other people can benefit from it. just like what you said that you just asked funk (tama ba) something about u.s. network and the reply will be valuable to other forumers. if they were asked here in the chit-chat, they'll be matatabunan in no time. so mas mahirap mag search. but if they were in the proper thread, mas madaling mag refer in the future. do i make sense? yes, we talk about audio, other ek ek in this thread, without worry kung matabunan later. kaya chit-chat. ok? even when a bluetooth question will suddenly pop up here, i will ask them to post in the msi, billionton and anycom topics. i hope you understand my rationale.

good day.
