I have to totally agree on this! 
But has there been any news on the audio quality lately?
I hope and I think it might be very good, but what about that s-master MX amplifier?

This is the last thing I need to know about Honami and then I will be sure it's MY phone!
It's already confirmed to have portless 3,5 jack, stereo speaker, IP57 (or even 58), TRILUMINOS! These are the thing I was waiting for! Plus the S-Master MX... (I'm super interested in this, the only other phone with some special tech in sound department it's the HTC One, but it has BEATS audio, which I dislike:/ very good bass but also crappy high, not my kind of audio profile... Because I'm all about rock-metal-jazz-punk  ) |

Actually sensor based IS is better than lens based. Optical stabilization is nothing more than controlled decentering and can lead to uneven optical performance. Sensor based stabilization is much better choice in that regard. That is why olympus uses it and why sony is going to use it in their future cameras |

Well Sony had used IBIS with their slim compact cameras (such as the old Cybershot T50 and T70) before they moved into OIS

When dealing with DSLRs IBIS has the following advantage over OIS
-Stabilizes any lens regardles of F stop (OIS lenses are limited to F2.8
-does not require expensive versions of the same lens with OIS built in
-less moving parts
But OIS is considered better than IBIS for some reasons, one of which is that IBIS may be able to stabilize all lenses, but it's not as effective as compared with an OIS implementation wherein the IS mechanism was designed specifically for that focal length. a telephoto lens such as the canon 70-400 2.8L for example can stabilize the image at lower F stops much better than a Sony G of the same focal length that relies on IBIS for stabilization.

I am not a pro but I would say it depends of the movement you are trying to correct, for instance, if the lens is heavier than body, and you move the lens when supporting it with relatively more stable sensor position, then lens correction could be better for this case, at least it makes sense.
Now when we talk about a phone, the above point is surely not valid, but i wonder if it makes a noticeable difference.

As I mentioned before, S-Master amp is definitely there but it won't be marketed as S-Master MX by Sony, could be some other new term. So rest assured, i1 will have better audio quality than any other phone in the market.

Late August (the 29?): Sony NEX-5t, 16-70mm E-mount lens and a third product (the ILC-3000?) will be announced.
September 4: Sony Honami i1, The two QX lens cameras and new action cameras.
Late September (24?): Sony first Full Frame NEX photocamera with first Zeiss Full Frame lenses!
Possible surprises could be: New A-mount mirrorless strategy presentation (Still not sure about that yet!), NEX-7 successor, more A and E-mount lenses.

Best camera award will surely go for Nokia Lumia 1020, it's just not possible for Honami to beat that. 1/2.3" vs 1/1.5", 20MP vs 40MP, crappy LED vs xenon flash, probably no OIS vs OIS. Need to say more?
On the paper maybe, the problem is that Nokia can miss their implementation (i understand from Ramu that this is more or less the case). So if you bring many top notch features but do not combine them well together, then you can find yourself below a competitor that brought one notch lower components brilliantly combined...
We won't know until some serious reviewers and undisputable references like CNET or Phone Arena make a comparison.

The full resolution sample of the Honami is quite impressive, also remeber that this may very likely be not the final firmware.
When we look at the details, we have:
sensor size: 1/2,3" vs 1/1,5"
resolution: 20,6MP (3936 x 5248) vs 41MP (7728×5368)
pixel size: 1,176 micron vs 1,139 micron
OIS: sensor shift vs lens shift
flash: LED (sadly) vs Xenon
ISP: Bionz vs Pureview
The fact that each pixel is slightly larger on the Honami should not be overlooked.
For me it's a clear win for Sony!
