The Tab Z refresh with pencil input is kind of a bummer to me actually. The only reason I considered anything other than the Tab Z was the lack of stylus, so to see a refresh with any electrical conductor being usable as a stylus is kind of the dream, only I already forked out and can't really afford go all out on another device this year.
I may try to palm it off to a relative like franky900320 says he will. As for honami, it doesn't seem like a killer device the same way Z has been. I will probably skip it and wait for next year's device, then again I said that about Z and TX before their announcements, but bought them as soon as they were available.
I will get honami because it is pretty awsome in the camera department with an IQ close or above Lumia 1020, and a nice camera app. I am sure it will be awsome in other departments as well as it is a one Sony. Overall it will be a huge upgrade from my iphone.
I will most probably pass on the lens. This is interesting, and may set a trend or even become the future of mobile imaging (they need to do something for the flash and grip, but i feel something may come). It is too early to tell but i think i will get a new stand alone camera because it is fun and probably you get more for your money.
For the tablet, i have an old one that still works well enough, so will try to resist. I would lile sony to release a intel based tablet running ubuntu touch, where i could run gimp, libreoffice, and some other great open source powerfull programs on the go. |

Guys what is around the white Xperia on the right??? is it just a casual case or could it be something like a special case used for the lens camera?
It seems its like a special case for the lens for better grip?!?!?!

sony didn't say ZU won't work with the lens?
I did not say that those lens wont work with ZU. It happens that i want Honami too! So i will have them both. Hehhe

@Shotokan81
Take a look at this over on xda for linux. I'm currently developing my next ruby-on-rails website entirely on my tablet (dev environment and server) using this to run ubuntu and I'm getting reasonable success.

Wonder what the chances are of the Honami launching with 4.3. I know there is very little difference between 4.2.2 and 4.3 but it would give Sony that little edge over the current smartphones available for example in reviews, as when the Xperia Z launched a negitive point was it isnt on the newest version of Android. In some leaked screen shots from a while back the Honami was running 4.2.2 but like I say that was a while ago another advantage that would give is that the LG G2 is going to launch on 4.2.2. Sony were very quick of the mark to announce 4.3 for current devices and even admitted that they have had it for a short while before it was announced by Google so who knows. Fingers crossed for the latest software for the best smartphone of the year.

Best smartphone of 2013 it will definitely be, no doubt. It blows away the competition quite far away

Best Audio Quality? Check
Best Camera? Check
Best design and build? (Subjective) but Check
Best Battery life?(amongst flagship devices,not including phablets) Possibly check

Wow, the last 15 pages were astounding to read.
I didn't miss any post
Now that we have a full resolution picture leak we should start to see some full Honami leak (final design)
@Lens camera:
Looks very good, though I might not buy it I'm pleased seeing this is real, that is the 1st real innovation in the smartphone market we've seen for years, Sony ftw!

Best Camera? Uncheck
Best camera award will surely go for Nokia Lumia 1020, it's just not possible for Honami to beat that. 1/2.3" vs 1/1.5", 20MP vs 40MP, crappy LED vs xenon flash, probably no OIS vs OIS. Need to say more? |

I have to totally agree on this!
But has there been any news on the audio quality lately?
I hope and I think it might be very good, but what about that s-master thing amplifier?

I thought OIS was confirmed, no?
Seeing Oppo introducing Xenon and HTC having OIS for quite some time, I was expecting at least one of those in Honami.
Cheers,

Honami has SuperSteadyShot Stabilization and not Optical SteadyShot stabilization. |
