So the PSP matches the PS2 and easily beats the PS1 as I thought.
Also remember the PSP is running the games at a much much lower resolution and so that requires less power.

@mikLSP: I doubt that the PSP is more powerful then the PS2, I mean, 333MHz only means that it can do 333 million processes per second. The PS2 300 MHz 'Emotion Engine' Processor is capable of Performing on-the-fly Antiailising (Not sure what this is though ), and Can produce a Computing power of 6.2 Gigaflops as compared to the 2.8 Gigaflops from the PSP processor (Once again i'm not sure what in gods name this is all about, but it sound impressive to talk about ). But, what i do know is that, In order to emulate a platform, you need roughly 10 times the original processing power, I think the PSP produces 10 times the PSone power, so the PS1 Emu, should not be much of a problem. (But, hey.... Don't quote me on it, I'm no expert).

As i said, it's between the ps1 and ps2. It's not more powerful than the ps2. A ps1 emulator is still far fetched, even the xbox struggles with many games. Interesting to see a neo geo cd emulator has been released for the psp though. You'll need a big memory stick for those iso's.

Hey...Are any of you folks actually disturbed by the load time's of the PSP? Every...and I mean, Every review of the PSP writes this point in the con's of the PSP, but I don't think its any more then the PS2. Hell, It even takes my PC almost that long to read a DVD. or is it just me?

Funnily enough, i almost fell asleep watching tiger woods load in my local game shop, i stood watching through the cabinet only for it to load the press start screen :-D next moth in japan a porn publisher is releasing 5 hardcore porn movies on umd. The nurse of a big breast and erotic terrorist beautiful body are 2 of the amusingly named titles. Since japan and europe are both region 2, they will work on euro psp's too.

@bosshog: ooOOooh... I remember reading that report on IGN, but i like the PlayBoy Station Portable better.
I'd post the link to the Official Playboy PSP site, but the MOD's would first shoot me, then Ban me. . But, hey...Its mentioned on the IGN News article.

ughhh pointless arguing!
snes update guys, hmm is mikLSP the only person here with a 1.0 firmware PSP?
anyways update:
Snes9x Optimised
"It now features a great ROM selector that is very handy (woot!), and the FPS print have been removed from the screen. Zerox reports frame rate skip 3 to work well with Super Punchout. It also supports .zip format which saves alot of space. Great update here!"
1 : Added own malloc only 8Mb.
2 : Browser from sms emu added.
3 : Speed better 20%.
4 : All new games work now DBZ 2 & 3 ect....
5 : Memory leak corrected.
Tips:
-If you hold left on the analog pad and press the L button it will bring you back into the ROM selector menu.
-Holding up on the analog and pressing the L button enters the frame skip mode each time you press L it will skip another frame (Recommended for most games to keep it skipped to 3), while holding down will lower the frame skip rate if you want to go back from 3 to 2 or 1 or 0.
grab it Here
Remember, emu's only work on PSP's with 1.0 firmware.
