If we compare to the 5" phone certified days ago, this one seems bigger.
The tray is smaller compared to the body.
If they make 6" screen with high end specs but smaller than XA2 Ultra I am so buying..

The phone with the tray at the top was the 5.7 inch phone I posted a while ago, the 5 inch has the tray on the side. When comparing both this new one and the older 5.7, this new one is slightly bigger, more so taller than wider, assuming that the photos from the label docs are accurate to size and shape. |

Damnit, if a 6"+ phone with high end specs is coming I'm going to be very tempted. I just spent $1000 CDN on my XZ Premium over the summer, so I'll definitely be torn. |

jpeg format is not going anywhere anytime soon.
I don't think Sony will exclusively use another new and exotic format.
Most of web and computer industry use and depend on jpeg format. Even Apple didn't dare to exclusively that other format because they know how important jpeg format is.
Hopefully the tweet indicates Sony will use a new and vastly improved jpeg enginee for their smartphone. Because we all know (except some blind people) how much improvement sony need to make in their image processing to stand up against industry leader - Pixel.
LOL, didn't expect that my bazel comment would trigger a certain someone's feelings that way. It was a hilarious and entertaining post. Thanks for the entertainment.

I think what he meant that because it doesn't have a splitter then it should have a 3.5mm jack

I would like to try to give an explanation about the Ricciolo's words. I'm Italian and in Italy there will be political elections soon. So now there is the electoral campaign. Every day on television there is a politician who illustrates what he will do if he is elected. It's an almost comic situation, because it seems like a race to those who make the biggest promise. Today someone comes to say that he will take out a tax and tomorrow another will say that he will take two taxes off. Someone say he will give 100 euros more to each Italian, then another arrives to say that he will give 200 euros. Ricciolo, in my opinion, wanted to joke and play on this thing ..... saying that it will remove the jpeg algorithm. In fact, he tagged "electoral campaign" as if it were the most beautiful promise a person could make. Then he commented saying that he was referring to the old algorithm and therefore that it would be replaced by a new one. Now we do not know if he is aware of a new software algorithm (always jpeg) that sony could use and present at mcw 2018. Surely in this period where every politician plays to make good promises to be elected, he wanted to attract our attention . |

Yes! I'm begging for design leaks, nothing more. They could save the specs for February 26 as a surprise, but not the design.
