We *NEED* more BT phones in the states! Everytime I'm in a crowded place I try to bluejack, but the only time I'm successful is when I'm in an electronics or computer store like Best Buy or CompUSA and I bluejack the PDA on display! Its fun watching the sales guy freak out, but its just too easy!

I always seem to be last to arrive at the party, only just found this thread.
Cannot wait to get on the long train home now, hopefully a bluejacking noob will get himself some scalps on his first hunting mission.
Wish me luck!! |

@Ron_L: Try bluejacking here in Chile (i bet no1 knows where Chile is ) every1 here is using n*kias 3390's I think that's because they're very cheap... almost nobody knows what bluetooth is!

YAY got my first Bluejacking yesterday
Was sat in Walkabout in Nottingham watching the (dull) England match. The pub was packed so the idea suddenly sprang to mind.
Did a quick search and lo and behold, found two Nokia 6310i's and someone called Chubb. Sent my 'My phone is better than yours' contact to one of the Nokias.
A guy just in front of me gives his phone a strange look, then shows it to all his mates. To cap it all one of his buddies then waves his arm for some reason and knocks the phone out of his hand
Oh the satisfaction...

@ N.M.E. : - re 'drive by jack' - "Twas I" ( must be an Aussie thing, prob. coz we spend so much time in cars - big cities & all)
Actually called it 'high speed' jacking; not real keen on 'drive-by' as an moniker (bad connotations).
Keep searchin' - let's see who bags one first
Was in a business meeting yesterday; was explaining
BT to him & did a scan- - up pop 2 x "phones" and "IPAQ".
Did the usual virus thing, the clients freakin out coz I'm jacking his colleagues!
Any one else got a pocket PC yet too?
Almost a vic-pic today, not sure i had the right guy (at cafe) as had two on the radar, but he kept looking at his phone, n unfortunately at me too! Kept cool tho, my phone's outa sight every time his goes off

Cool. I can live with High Speed Jacking :P
Grr...I picked up a 7650 at the lights coming off the freeway this morning, but they turned green before I got to send anything. I tailgated the nicest looking car assuming it was them, but no luck. I wonder if it's possible to upgrade your BT chip in the phone? I'd quite like to put a 100m one in. I kept finding phones in the shopping center last night, but they must have been walking in the other direction because they dropped out pretty quickly. Anyone have any info on the BT chip in the T610??

@NME: no, I don't think it's possible to upgrade the chip, that would involve soldering it out and putting another one in...and 100m BT drains much more power than normal 10m.
OBEX error (object exchange) was explained (again) a few pages back, but guess it can be stated again..it means that the contact was not successfully sent, the receiver probably doesn't have auto-accept turned on. On his device the receiver can probably see a 'accept vcard from xx ?' - message.

@LAzo: The soldering isn't much of a problem, but I guess the battery power would cause an issue. I might wait til the warranty runs out before I even start thinking about mods like that :P
...or wait for the Z1010!
