According to Eldar from Mobile-review
When and where has Eldar said that? Got a source (link)?
Thats was long time ago, but AFAIK there's no links as these info leaked from hidden forum in M-R only VIP members can view it, so a link will be useless !

You just contradicted yourself.
How so? just cause you posted a 1 line doesn't make it so. State you point in full with a quote or two, pls.
@ hgautam; ok I was wrong with the announce date. I was thinking the rumored photos dateline. However, my point still stands ... June till September is still a while before shipments began to seed in online stores or from providers. From two of my preferred reliable retailers online, the K850i is still at $570 while the the N82 is at $600. If pictures are comparable, and videos as well then I'll opt for the N82 and some locky kid with a W580i will get my 1GB M2 card until he/she can get the 8GB.
You all think that I don't like the K850i - I most certainly do ... recall I was amongst the first to say its SEXY! However its price is STILL too steep for what one can do with it.
Dude it seems that your misinformed !
First of all N82 is not $600 its above $620
And last but not least K850i is $459.99
http://www.cellswholesale.com/Sony-Ericsson-K850i,C,384/
There is a gap between $150
If you want GPS on the K850 then just get HGE-100 which is like $70
460+70=$530
Which is still a lot cheaper than N82.
Need any other reason to get K850i ?
You seems more of a Nokia Fan Boy.Am I right ?
Fanboy? Me? What because I use my sensibilities and make my OWN choices of what I want out of a phone and best use my hard earning dollars? That is very childish, and shows lack of common sense. You first did NOT READ what I posted.
1> I'm in Canada ... I'm not sure which country you posted.
2> you did NOT READ that I posted "from 2 of my preferred online retailers" (mostly worded the same & still can be infered the same what from what you quoted).
3> My prefered providers (1 I've done business with before Hi-Mobile.net; and thus trust. The other also checks out with a who is. BOTH I've had friends give positive feedback on not only the purchase fulfilled but also the quality of the product upon arrival - not dinged, dented etc).
K850i (at present US/CAN dollar conversion $1.02US/.98CAN)
http://www.hi-mobile.net/Sony[....]Ericsson-K850i-Fully-Unlocked/
$499US Dollars (this is NOT your claimed 459 - that extra 9 dollars = close to 36 after shipping & taxes (14%) is added on.
N82 (at present US/CAN dollar conversion $1.02US/.98CAN)
http://www.hi-mobile.net/Nokia/Nokia-N82-Fully-Unlocked/
$592US Dollars. (Even if I wanted to use that stupid GPS headset; I CANNOT use GPS if I chose to use a BT headset which better suits my needs during winter wearing a thick jacket, toque, sweater. Less cords less damage to them and better movement for things like running to catch a bus/subway/making a street light.)
2nd preferred online retailer.
http://www.easycell.ca/default.aspx
Shows:
K850i = $600CAN
N82 = $850CAN (which is ridiculous but)
PS what is the pricing of that GPS headset in Canadian dollars anyhow - at present day/wk. Hmm? $75dollars+ ? STill doesn't give me WiFi which is free and abundant across my city. my provider charges $65CAN =2Gb of data ONLY if using a laptop & aircard and their switch can tell the difference between that and a phone and are able to restrict it.
I've been around Esato a LOT longer than you my little friend and have used BOTH Ericsson & SE phones along with S60 phone (the 6620). If you look at my previous posts ... ALLL of them ... you'll be astounded that I used my phones INTENSELY as PRIMARY phones not the fad of the yearly quarter like many ppl here do. Sure I was interested in MS Mobile platform phones as my primary use - but now more so for training for understanding M$ Mobile Data Service Center initiative that goes live Q2 next year. This will compete with RIM's BES application/service offerings ... something that is pinnacle to my career & employment. I'm a BES level 2 Admin (in lamens terms) and a BB Focal for my team. So before you go posting "FANBOY" at someone because you CANNOT understand that ppl make their OWN choices of what to purchase with THEIR hard earned dollars and not let their favorite Forum dictate what they SHOULD purchase ... get a clue and grow up, please.

I'd like to further add yet AGAIN (my 12th time in various threads this past 4mths)
That if the K850i had WiFi It'd be mine POST HASTE; but with Triband 3G and UIQ3.1 Smartphone (non-touchscreen) I'd have it already and not look anywhere else. Put either in that Black and silver casing we've just all seen 4wks ago I'd be set. 3G calling is cheap here in Canada but still not enough people I speak to have it NOR have I seen anyone since summer in this city use it in public.
I LOVE the K850i bar none! It shows innovation and styling; but it does too little for its current pricing where I shop, compared to the N82. Couple this with no TRUE unlimited data in Canada for GSM its Triband 3.5G is useless to me other than Video Calling which I'd get no use for.
If my provider offers the K850i (and chances of this are 50/50) then I just may upgrade to it - branded and unbrand it since its possible. I've done this with my current phone the K790a.
New Spectrum will be offered in Canada this May 7 th and FINALLY allow outside investment & ownership of first party cellular providers. At this time next year ... if a MAJOR nationwide provider comes around then HOPEFULLY we'll see cheaper pricing.
