@Razec and Ramu,
Definitely that 1" add-on sensor will kill all other cameraphones on the market including the Nokia 1020 but without it, how do you think will the built-in sensor fare against the likes of Nokia 1020? Not all people would bring those add-on sensor. |

@Shino, If Honami retains the same sensor as the old prototype, I think it won't match the 1020. It would be closer to an HX50v instead image quality wise. But onless ramu was proven right and the sensor is actually 2/3" I'm keeping my expectations low now to be honest

So we have confirmation on two lenses for honami
1. RX100 II hardware ( 1.0" sensor 20 MP F1.8 Carl Zeiss)
2. 1/2.3" 18 MP with 10x Optical Zoom, probably Sony G Lens.
Super Exciting
I wonder how much these would cost

Well to be honest the Pureview 1020 is a big disappointment IQ wise and it's only barely better than Galaxy S4. So Honami could still equal/beat it. |

It's not selling well either:

Ramu do you have links to reviews supporting this? I did not follow this after launch...
Sales it was already a given, it runs windows!
"Dropping out of top-20 list of AT&T models at Amazon a few short days after launch is a bit alarming considering the substantial media coverage and a robust marketing push by AT&T. AT&T really is giving the 1020 decent backing."
I guess AT&T is learning it's lesson, which would mean this is the last time they spend money supporting a windows phone. Next time M$ will have to pay even higher to be on the shelf

920 was kind of selling mostly because M$ and Nokia was paying everyone $100 to get it |

@Shotokan
1020 became quite the disappointment because it was expected to be the successor of the nokia 808 that blew away the competition in cameraphones in terms of image quality.
There are a lot of photo samples already and comparison here at esato itself posted by esato members Nokia Lumia 1020 thread
For a smartphone, 1020 is still excellent especially in lowlight which is why reviews still say 1020 is an excellent cameraphone. Nothing else so far can beat it except the older 808, and personally I would pick 808's symbian os rather than 1020's WP. I think a lot would also prefer the older symbian os rather than the closed WP os.

I wish Sonymobile move to more realistic naming as Sony Viao recently did ..
Now there is no longer Vaio S \\ T \\ Z \\ E .... Series \\ Naming .. they only fit in 4 categories :
1- Vaio ® Fit
2 -Vaio ® Duo
3- Vaio ® Pro
3- Vaio ® Tab

Honami wouldn't fit any of the four names above, Sony must consider a new name, which would fit Honami's strengths and features.

at first I thought it was the old Xperia Arc but why show a device 2 years old when it also shows the Xperia SP and HTC
It's not the Arc, it's even older; the pioneer of Sony Android phones: The X10!
Thanks for clearing that up never even gave the X10 a thought I had one aswell
I'm so happy 'cause today I've found my friends ... They're in my head

I don't think Xperia Z would be doing any better than 1020 in the states, possibly even worse. |

Apparently, huiyi says that Honami SO-01F will be part of DoCoMo's Fall 2013 line up. In Japanese markets by October. International Honami will be in Chinese markets in mid-September.

Just the time for docomo to create 16gb of bloatware, which will force sony to put 32gb in the japanese version.
Just speculation
