only thing is if u wanna wait for w800 or something else...then theres the lens upgrading thing..which apparently wont be too much of a change |

Nah I don't care for the look of the W800i or the D750i, the K750i is lovely to look at. In fact it is one of the reasons why I want it so much over a K700i.
I guess I'll just take the plunge and join you guys, and it's all up to luck right? If I get a problematic phone, at least I won't be alone. |

It's unbranded all right, for $409 US it better be
I'm really looking forward to getting it now, I had already accepted that I would get the K700i as my next phone but let's just say the temptation of the K750i was too hard to resist. |

Sure, if it means getting it cheaper, I'm game.
I was going to get it from MyWorldPhone.com it's only 5 miles away, so it's local pickup. Mobilebee is in Manhattan but their prices are high. |

The MobileBurn review indicated call audio, as the K750's weakness.
What do you all think?

The volume level from the earpiece is noticably lower than the old K700i, but its nothing that SE cannot fix in the next firmware update.
I wouldnt say its a weakness, because it can be fixed, and its not really that bad. The K700i had loud volume, so compared the K750i seems quiet, yet not too quiet that you cannot hear the other person talking. I've used mine in a busy street with buses and trucks speeding past and i could still hear fine - it just wasnt as crisp as my old K700i.

These bugs you are talking about can they really be fixed with future firmware updates?Only reason i am asking is my three day old k750 has bugs but i dont want a refund or exchange. |

None of the bugs I have seen so far seem to be hardware related. So yes, they can be fixed with firmware update if SE wants to.

| Sony Ericsson K750I
A fault has been identified on the Sony Ericsson K750I that manifests itself in the form of a freezing screen.
The fault is not apparent in all K750I handsets, only in some.
A fix is being worked on by Sony Ericsson and new stock will be available for testing later this week.
If the new stock tests OK we expect the delivery of the new stock be be week commencing 20/06/05.
Where customers are experiencing this problem, removing the battery and replacing it may correct the problem.
However customers that require a replacement should be advised that replacement stock will not be available until week commencing 20/06/05 therefore they can either hold onto their K750I until then or be offered an alternative/refund.

I was told new firmware will be available next week (June 13th) however, it may be a handset-specific fault for week 19 builds. We shall wait and see. |
