Brighter than...?
The flash on this unit is a true flash in everysense, timed to perfection to the shutter. Wheras, on camera phones of the moment it's a light up...shutter opens.... light goes out torch scenario.
Does that help? |

hmm, just looking on eBay at the auctions and a guy selling the phone has provided pictures... and you can blatantly see a memory stick micro in the box. Maybe only some of them come with memory sticks?

yup thats true, my k800i didn't come with a memory stick not even a 32mb one, but about build quality it is superb, no creaking none, new charger seems good has an adaptor which allows you to use the hands free at the same time as charging, the only only only problem i have is the camera slide opens easily in my pocket, i don't know if thats because i wear jeans or what but still kind of a problem. bluetooth is top transfers pretty fast with my powerbook, screen is superb as well, the phone is a pretty good weight, the keypad is already not as bad as some earlier reviews said, i don't seem to have a problem with it, but that may just be me. i don't really need to mention that camera as it is top class, the flash is a nice new feature overall highly recommended.

It does say that the internal memory will differ depending on where you bought the phone and what network it is on.
Some people have recieved 64mb M2's, some even have got 512mb M2's... I think it either depends on where you got it and the region that you got it in.

I find the memory stick confusion thing a bit odd. It's quite clear on the UK specs for example that there isn't one included, so if we don't get one we shouldn't be surprised. If a supplier or network decides to bundle one in that's up to them but it doesn't mean were all getting one.
I'm not expecting one it makes no economic sense to include a paltry amount and I can't see O2 shoving one in for fun!
And thinking about it, I've never bought a digital camera that has had a large memory stick. In fact most of them come with a farty amount like 64mb which is no good if you're flickin' your shutter about at 6 mega pixels.

I must also agree with previous posts here about the build quality. It's absolutely fantastic. This combined with the nice-looking box and the accessories (like the leather-type handstrap) it feels really classy. It's very fast too. And my gmail also works very well on this phone. |

Can someone do us 'waiters' a nice treat and post some unpacking shots. Can't find a decent review of this anywhere and I'm dying to see what comes in the box. All this leather strap business has got me moist with excitement. |

I received my k800i Friday and very impressed with it. I have one query which someone might help me with.
How do you remove the memory cover? I didn't receive a memory card with the phone, but have ordered 1gb from ebay.
Does the cover slide - pull down or what?
I don't want to break it but there is nothing in the manual explaining how to remove it - other than " remove cover"!!!

I guess it must depend on the service provider, shop etc you buy the phone from as to whether it comes with a memory card, I know CPW told me it would come with one but that doesn't necessarily mean anything, I'll wait and see. I'll be pleasantly surprised if it does, but not too fussed if there's not one in the box.
When I get mine (please be Monday!!) I'll take some photos of the box and its contents and upload them for all to see |
