You guys think the day's going to come when we could walk into a phone-centre and select the exact features we want on our phones?

Ya mrao, i meant the joystick...never liked that feature. @kryptik i wish that what you said were true. I would merge the 6800, k750i, w800i into one dream phone

You know, i did once wonder how cool it'll be if mobile phones could be like our desktops. We could choose our own operating systems, hardware and all. It'll give consumers more choices.

I only really liked one Nokia phone - the 7110. Sliding keypad cover and that roller thingy. Now that was an original phone.
Went from that to a 6110, then a 6210. Good phones, bland as hell.
I never really liked the Nokia menu system (particularly on those phones) as you didn't get to see all the main menu items on screen at once. Then I got a T68 and never looked back.
So I don't *hate* Nokia phones (not like I really hate iPlod owners) but their owners are like car buyers. They know one make, they stick to one make....

I can vouch that I'm not one of those...
I value Nokia as the best phone maker (in terms of aesthetics and materials used) but I'm willing to try other manufacturers. I've now had a couple Motos and my first SE, now leading me to get the S700i, so, it just takes a good feature imo, rather than design, that's why I wanted S700i.

I don't have Nokia phones. Owned a 7110 and it was great! My kids now have it as a playphone/star trek communicator. Just so happens that my upgrade happens each time a new se phone that i like is released.

That's good to hear! I mean, we've got a bloke at work in our post room. He told me, to my face that he doesn't understand nor want to use a K750i because he *hates* the interface. "Give me a Nokia any day" he said.
"Okay..." says me, with a dozen boxed K750i's in my hands; "Lets have a look at your Nokia then..." He hands over his Nokia, model 3200. The interface was in "icon" mode, i.e. just like 's!
I show him the K750i interface. "That's not how I remember an Ericsson phone..!" he replies. Half a day later he's moved his sim card to the K750i and has downloaded loads of ringtones and is taking pictures of everyone...
And I've dished out 300 K750i's out in the last 4 weeks. With plenty of cases just like that.
Maybe I should of wrote "most" Nokia users... (And LG users, and Samsung users, and Moto's, and whatever else is out there.)

First phone i ever owned was a nokia 3310. What i hated most about it was that middle button, yeah that 1 that they put there for everything (make calls, end calls, access menu and choose) it wap sure horror. Sometimes (because of that one button) i lost alot of money due to it making calls by itself. But i threw it away for ma T230, and now i have a p900. Not switch for any nokia for fa next 100 years.
