I think his mp3's are also ringtones, not just music.
If u use aac encoded music (rename extension to .3gp and it will play in media player), you should be able to get more than mp3 (more efficient coding) for same bitrate.
I'm still looking for an encoder, but I've tested with some aac encoded files downloaded from the internet and they play on the K700i.

Its an Excellent phone I've ever had. although k750, with a host of sumptuous features, would replace k700 shortly.
However, I've had some serious problems with k700 lately due to old firmware. Hope it solves soon without having to shelve out too much money.
Overall, Sony K700 is a 9.5/10 |

I would rate my K700i still having the original firmware R2L... A stunning 9/10 in its class .If it had a much longer lasting battery then it would get 9.5/10 . :-] Survivor,MotoGP2,Splinter Cell Pandora 3D,Extreme Snow board,Cannon Tournament,Michael Vaugh Crick,2004 Real Football,3D Chaser are good games

I had these SE's: T200, T300, T610 and lately, my shiny K700i. So, I think I know some about SonyEricsson. I agree whit somebody in any forum who said we all are different and want different things. But letīs put some things over the table. K700i has a shiny, sharp screen. 176x220 is an excellent screen resolution. Good quality pictures. This phone is almost perfect for the average (and above) multimedia lovers (as I am). 41 Mb is much more memory than most people really need. Video recording and playback. FM radio is just a pleasure. Infrared. Bluetooth. MP3. Etc. What else do you REALLY want?. I think it's plenty of features. By the way, I havenīt experienced any problem with the sound. The "look"?. Ok. Maybe it's a little "serious". Personally I would like to have all these features inside the K500īs body. Just it. I love my keisevenhundred!

It's like the serial no. for your phone. IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity.

I love this phone. Just got it for work a couple of weeks ago (had a t610 and was waiting for a k750 but my company gave me a k700, so when my personal contract is over I can buy a k750 for cheap ).
I encountered 2 problems:
1. Lack of expandable memory. For business purposes it does not represent a big flaw, but I have to say that it bothers me quite a bit because I cannot download music as I want to.
2. Vodafone Firmware. Absolutely the worst firmware I have ever encountered on a SE phone. SE should refuse to install such a poorly-designed, bugged and slow firmware on one of its phones. The phone crashed twice, when I try to listen to ringtones some of them disappear and reappear on the list (like they are blinking because the phone is charging them). The theme sometimes doesn't work (I get a black screen instead of the usual animated one).
I am looking forward for a friend of mine to change the firmware, at least I can solve problem number 2.
BTW I think I will install Orange Firmware (you might really think I am crazy at this point ).
In fact I love the shortcuts that appear on the starting screen (messages, contacts and the other) so much that I would love to have them.
Overall the k700 Is an absolutely amazing phone! It does everything I need it to do, and does it well. I am still amazed at vocal quality compared to the t610. So much better!!
