we are using tactel to send and rec, if your setting is globe mms, then u cant receive any mms coming from tactel. go to pcc for mms request, in the meantime, ill send u 1 now. for your eyes only. |

I kept calling Globe to activate my MMS... hasn't happened yet... got sick of waiting... I'm using Tactel... works well, only gripe is that 'from' is from Tactel.
Other than that... it's fine! Globe should just activate all GPRS and MMS features... would be easier on their CS, and subscribers wouldn't have to be hassled to call in pa. Besides, not all phones are GPRS/MMS enabled anyway. Those that own GPRS/MMS phones WANT to use these features ASAP! |

Hi everyone. I am new to Esato and have been going through most, if not all, of its contents. I am also having trouble with Globe GPRS as I do get the same error - (1) GPRS Failed and/or (2) GPRS Parameters not supported.
I think the bottom line seems to be the activation. I too have been bugging Globe for the past 10 days and it is funney that all they can say is that they will follow up and just update your settings through the air (that is through GO T68I text message).
Anyway, I do have a few questions as follows. What is the Ericsson Gateway ? I don't have this in my T68i. What is it used for and where will I get the configuration ? Another question I have is about TACTEL. Again, I don't have this in my T68i. What is it used for and where will I get the configuration ?

By the way, just as a follow-up on my previous post, it may be worthwhile to know what I really intend to accomplish.
What I want is to (a) Be able to send and receive MMS, (b) Be able to browse the internet using my phone, and (c) Be able to set-up e-mail accounts. All of these I want to be able to do on my T68i.
I will appreciate all the help.
Thanks. |

hey jamba. Let me just relate my experience with you. I called globe to activate my mms and gprs. I was really very surprised coz they said gprs would be activated in an hour. True enough it worked. As for the mms, I had to wait a day and a half even though they just told me I had to wait for a day. For the settings just send "GO T68i" to 2951. GPRS and MMS settings will be sent to you. For email, make sure you have an account with an ISP if you want to send and receive emails. Just use your username/password, pop server address for incoming, outgoing use: smtp.globenet.com.ph. I hope that helped. |

Yes i think it's possible. You can use the tactel gateway, but you can only send to fellow tactel users.
If you want to use globe's MMS, you have to ask them to activate the service for your account. |
