does your k7 have MULTI character search in the phonebook??

if it has, then it's worth the upgrade

as far as i know, only euro language pack has multi-character search.. asian language doesnt support it

@ doc - backread ka po sa thread konti...

does anyone have a solution to the radio? i don't like having to put in my headset to activate it. it's too much of a hassle lalo na you have to open the rubber at the bottom... well, the price that you pay for using SE...

i dont think its possible, the headset works as the radio antenna.

@vwbeetle - iv tried using the Belkin headset i bought from boss GOwin and it does enable my radio on the k700. so unless all headsets for SE phones are antennas, i think the radio just needs a software tweak para di mo na kelangan ikabit yung headset...

same for nokia radio phones, you'll need the headset to activate it (& as antenna) even if youre playing the radio thru the loudspeaker

i went to SE shop the other night to have my FW upgraded (from R2A to R2L)...at first they say its pretty risky coz they dont have a software for my type of unit/system (mine is an O2-european version, that is).

i asked for suggestions on what im gonna do with my unit (with the oldest firmware) that keeps on "hanging" , does auto on & off and batt that doesnt last long.

they said i'll take the risk for the upgrade since theyr'e gonna do it online and the unit might get corrupted while on the process of upgrading...then, if that doesnt work daw...they'll have to resort to what they call a "customization" (flush all system of my fon and install a new one)...pero its not a 100% guarantee na maayos parin daw....i was sooo despondent and i was hoping there was an "esato" bro there..sigh...

anyway, there's this customer attendant named "Anna" (very nice and accomodating) who gave me options on my phone's chances to be upgraded......anyway, i took the chance to have it tried upgraded online....surprisingly, wala pang two hours...naupgrade nila ung fon ko!!! from the oldest firmware to R2L001 na....weeeeebeeeee!!!!!!

thank god talaga walang naging problema at thanks to esato people for enlightening me over K700i matters....angels ko talaga kayo lolzzzzz!

for the meantime, i wouldnt know kung pwede ba ako mag access ng gprs at mms with my Sun sim..kasi baka daw naka set ang frequency ng fon ko sa O2 settings....i will try to input steele's Sun cell's internet settings later still and see what'll happen.....

still, pls guide me on any input/ideas/suggestions for an access to the internet/gprs/mms of Sun cell with an Os version K700i....pretty pls?

can this be claimed through warranty?

if im not mistaken, the k700 needs a headset (any headset not exclusively SE headset) because the FM radio receiver does not have an antenna and the wires of the headset would act as the antenna of the radio. thus, even if it were possible to activate the radio without the headset, then the radio would be useless because it wouldnt be able to catch any FM radio signal.
