Then it says

Just updated my P900 firmware!.... The upgrade went without any problems.
Mimzo u gotta wait a good time as the updater service first downloads a 11Mb application to your PC ..... depending on how fast ur link is....

I'm trying to update my p900 but when i get to the stage where its asking if the device is turned off and in the syncstation it always comes up with an error saying that another application is using it and to close anything that maybe using it.
I've killed most of the processes just leaving the internet connection and the SE stuff there and it still says the same, has anyone else had this problem ?

Downloads an 11MB file first?
Oooh... Shouldn't it say so or at least have a lame little progress bar or something?
Maybe I missed it...
I'd be really disappointed if I didn't
Thanks anway,
I'll try again now

There's something wrong with this procedure
When the PC client starts it tells me to switch the device off. I do it and then I start the process of upgrading. It first switches it on, then off again... and that's all. The device remains off and the client keeps telling "Waiting"... untill I kill it using Windows's task manager !!!
I'm using an ADSL connection with a public IP and I had my firewall disabled when I started the process.
My O.S. is Windows XP (Italian version) with SP1 and all the official updates from MS. I'm also using PC Suite 2.0.1 (Italian version, also tried the English one with the same results).
I presume the PC client is buggy. Did anyone tried to upgrade it's P900 recently with success ? |

Yes, I did read that that post... but it's about waiting for the download completion... but in my case there's no network activity at all... the PC client simply does NOTHING... I'ms sure of this because I'm using and ADSL router |

I tried to update my firmware as i had a bluetooth problem, my p900 not visible to other devices.
It said i already had the lastest version occording to my cda version, but i know i did not as my software version did not match the one at the beggining of this thread. So i still carried on and proceeded with the update.
The update completed successfully, however, the software version remained the same, however, the bluetooth problem is now also fixed.
but why did my p900 not update to the new software as the one on the beggining of this thread?
I have a o2 P900.
Current Software:
Phone: cxc162022 r3a024
BT: cxc12529 r5d
Org: cxc162021 r1a05
cda: cda162004/7 r2b01
any idea's?
Thanks.
