@masseur - I feel I must explain what I meant when I said 'that's sneaky' after the last game, it wasn't because you double posted, and I certainly wasn't accusing you of cheating! It was simply because you didn't post until the vital moment. It was a very lighthearted comment

He, he...
You better have a 2nb look mate. He opened the game, then buggered off for a dump just to come back to win the round yet again.
His timing "stinks". :

nah that was tactics! (although a quick trip was required) but I thought it might get people posting quickly while I get my mind around watching for the correct moment to post!

I didnt substain my claim cuz I was at school
well
me back now

basically u always seem to quantiple post at the vital moment
which kills all the fun in the game

anyone can write a script that will post 40 times through the light forum

but that's not the point of playtime
I dont care about the prize
I care for the rush of winning

and ur killing it for me
it's not cool to just hv posted n11 and then when the page is reloaded (by Esato) the post count has gone up to 59

Ok well if that is your gripe let me explain.

Take a look at any of the games and you will see that in virtually all the games people, not just me, made several replies at the crucial moment. Indeed anyone can do just the same and that is part of it all.

But the fact that anyone can do the same also means there is no cheating, and there is no more chance for anyone to win because we all have equal chance in that situation.

Take a look at the early games... in those I made one reply only which was lucky enough to be the winning one, but as games progressed so people found trickier ways to ensure points including setting up multiple replies which is how in many games people got the position prior to the winning position and then also got the position after the winning position thus doubling their points and so I started to do the same so that I had an equal chance with those people.

So while this attack seems very personal to me I am doing no different to anyone else.

As for writing a script to do it... I wouldn't have a clue even though I am an IT contractor but that is not in my skill set.

If the game is not enjoyable for you then don't play, but I would suggest that rather than bitching you get with the program and do like everyone else to find the best way to get the points and enjoy the thrill of the kill... or the rush of winning as you say.

Lets have fun!

eh???

I must contest this statement (if I understand it correctly that is)
I play with onle 1 window and I reply as soon as the page has reloaded. The pleasures of a fast connection maybe, I'll grant you that, but there is nothing tricky about it. In fact I find myself playing very fair. Except maybe I'm pressing the server a bit with those fast replies

It's good that today is the last day tho..... it seems not everybody finds it as much fun as I did all along.

... fair enough... then I guess you are not included in the 'people' that I mentioned (and I certainly mentioned no names). Indeed you have done very well using only one window.

In the last few days I have certainly played with two reply windows waiting and am happy to admit that. Again thats just a tactic and is surely not an unfair way of playing since I get no more advantage than anyone else doing the same.

It only did me any good once though when I did get the prior and post positions but I would rather get the winning position anyway!

anyway... another game awaits!

Missed one :-( fil, You're missing the point. The whole idea is too have a bunch of windows ready at the vital moment. Once everyone realises this, it's much harder too score. As for this script business, i saw someone mention they were writing a script in another post, but they deleted the post almost instantly. Never caught the name, well actually i did. But it wasn't vlam or mass. Calm down and just open a few more windows, I'll try that on my T300 :-D

I suppose a script could work, though it would be pretty difficult to make, and it wouldn't be any faster then a person with good reactions (and a bit of luck) monitoring the thread.

I would like to confirm that I was only kidding about actually making one

I have used multiply reply windows since game one, I see nothing wrong with that since everyone can do that, it's just tactics....

Now, if one really wanted to cheat one could xxxxxx xxx xxxxx xxxxx xxx xxxx xxxxxxxxxx. That would actually be pretty bad, but I am sure other players would notice if that happened.
(I did actually mask the phrase, I am sure those who know these forums well, know what I am talking about)

Yes.... I would think everybody got the humour in that post

But like I said..... with manual refreshing and only 1 window open for the game (and another to just regular forum activity) you can still get far in this game. So I fail to see where all the fuss comes from anyway.

@ fij..... get a faster connection.

I wonder how many more 'Playtime!!!' we get today???

I can't see a script beating 10 people with multiple windows open. It's just too random.
