Maybe the standard parts are, but howabout this short antenna in hansa.se: look the page until down http://www.hansa.se/shop/eri_reservdel.html

Is it made in Sweden? How does it work? Anybody tried this in Sweden?

true. i regret having let go of my two t39s before. I will not be commiting the same mistake with my recently acquired ice cap blue t39.

i'm keeping this for good. in fact, i decided to use the t39 instead of the t68 as my backup phone.

the t39 has class and sophistication which the t68 never had.

'vintage": can you buy a cheap vintage wine?, a vintage car? that is why so many people with T39m had regrets when they sold it. i will be KEEPING mine. a very classic but classy phone.

I went to this place this morning - authorized dealer of Nokia and Sony Ericsson handsets and accessories - (local time):

After browsing on some of these:

I decided to get my 'newly' (2nd hand) acquired Ericsson T39mc some 'face-lift' ! I decided to replace really worn-out parts which includes the Front Cover, Antenna and Frame (silver one) - the only thing remained unreplaced are the keypads, original battery and flip cover. It cost me around Php 1,800.00 (US$ 32.14) for those cosmetics alone. I made a laugh at myself, why, because I only manage to buy the whole package at Php 2,200 (US$ 39.28) yesterday, and replacing majority of the cosmetics alone almost cost me the price of buying a 2nd hand unit - again !

Here's the result:

Front:

Back:

Here are the replaced parts:

Front Cover and Antenna:

Frame:

I manage to see this image . . . and it just amazed me how a vintage Ericsson T39m can be/get compatible with that of a Compaq PDA/ Pocket PC - newer release . . .

How's the key action in the swedish phones? I have a malaysian T39m and the keys seem a bit soft and give little tactile feedback: "spongy".

@bobafett - Quite right . . . but when I got my T39mc then (made a post/ad in a tabloid for FREE), it took me only LESS than a week finding one! If ever, my problem will be then is the fone's PERFORMANCE If it will still be working at PAR just like a brand new one . . .

@jplac...I think the t39 antenna is the same as that of the t28...It certainly looks the same.Imo the antenna is what makes the t39 look so good.I also adore the metal back, and the slim sleek side view.Anyway,It's great to see these type of threads continuing in this way.I'll be keeping my t39m forever guys.
