Borat,

Being a user, or say "fan", I think I shouldn't just say positive things of a product, but also how bad I think about it. No complaint, no improvement.

Also, besides those bad comment, I have also said that I like its design and I am surprised with the built-in ICQ client.

Although i am a die hard fans of SE, will like to be frank n my comments on this phone which actually disappoints me a lot
eg.
2MB...yea...Nokia's 7650 released Q3 last year had already 4MB not to mention the MMC expandable Nokia 3650 now

try comparing the specs between the SE T610 and Nokia 3650...the Nokia of coz looks way way way way UGLIER, but then it runs on Sym 6.0 and has a price tag lower than the T610...
I do not intend to compare the 3650 and the T610, they are both different kind of phones, but what matters to most consumers is the price, at almost the same price why not choose a video recordable, memory expandable, symbian phone over the T610?

About the cam..since most of the cam phones has a maximum res of 640x480 (even the communicam) would it hurt to include that in the T610 instead of the mere low down 100kpixels now it offers? We are not requesting for megapixels resolution, just a simple request for having the same res for the cam as other models in the market now..why downgrade and make SE users think twice b4 get this model?
I ditch Nokia in the first place because of the unreasonable price tags and limited features it offers.....so SE, pls dun make me turn to Nokia again

To SE, look at your competitiors and see what are they offering then only release ur phones if u intend to take over the market

I am worried too..
No matter what the puritans here say, (S) Ericsson phones have never been very exciting except maybe in features. The company obviously canīt see the writing on the wall and imitate Nokias strategy (ok, if they donīt want to, or donīt care if they have a smaller share of the market by all means walk away from the in my mind only good looking phone, the t68(i) and release something resembling the remote control to my Hitachi video from -89...
I remember a statement from Ericsson round the time Tomb Raider was new.. "If we donīt get the attention of the teenagers and make trendy phones, we might as well quit making them" Well guess he was right in a fashion since they went belly up. Too bad really..

T606 and T608 are cool!
The user interface of them has a much better overall feeling than T610's.

Although T610 has a bigger screen, but doesn't utlitize and make use of it.

Also, the bolded font in T608 looks better than T610's. They may just the same design, but I don't know why, T608's really looks better.
Also, the colour of T606/T608's screens are sharper than T610's.

I hope this is the problem of different cameras.........
Anyway, anyone know the LCD of T606 and T608 is TFT or STN?

ThreeX, I agree with ur points.
I hope there're some people in managing team reading this forum........ and have better market research.

@ veon18

The T610 is not supposed to be a PDA/Smartphone like the 3650 or Symbian based phones, and it is most definately not targeted at that market. Remember that SonyEricsson already have a killer phone in that segment (the P800).

As I see it, this new product makes SE's phone lineup almost complete. They have:
- the best PDA/Smartphone (P800)
- the best high-end "normal phone" (T610)
- a very good low-end color phone (T310)
- a good low-end phone (T200)
- a very nice ultra-low-end phone (T100)

And the 3G phone that was shown a few weeks ago also seems to be top notch.

You should think about different market segments and stop comparing with PDA phones that are almost twice the size and uses a lot of power and have a "real" multitasking OS.

This is a phone (not a smartphone/PDA) for people who want a small phone with low weight. Look at all the people here that has been complaining about the size of the P800 and phones like that.

The camera resolution is good enough for the intended application which is MMS and phonebased photos. Remeber that the MMS service has size limittions and speed limitation on the GSM/GPRS networks. There are no need for a high resolution camera for this especially since the max recommended size for MMS images are 160x120 pixels.

BTW the camera is not a downgrade compared to other phones with built in cameras. (once again do not compare with phones that has twice the physical size).

mate, there are a no. of ways comparing models
eg for a normal joe jane person , 1st they will look at their budget and think what can they buy at this price
in term of price range
P800 is a class
3650 and T610 is another class
as for size, it's completely dependent on individual taste, some are rather irritated at the size of it buy others not a problem
so as u said' stop comparing phones and PDA phones' why not compare phones at the same price category, see what they offer...after all, almost every consumer is budget conscious
so if u wan to compare, yes P800 is the best in its category
but if it comes to what models offers best at the same price range.....SE is still not the best in their current efforts
