Maybe Sony is using Electronic Image stabilization or perhaps the OIS from ON Semiconductor??? Well if not, I guess we would see that in Z6 and hopefully, it would work like a charm like the fingerprint scanner.
Based on what I have read in the last couple of pages, it seems Z5 camera's algorithm is similar to Z3. Maybe we will see a more optimized algorithm in the retail model. |

Maybe, just maybe we'll see a much more involved community driven sensor algorithm for customized camera abilities like we used to in the days with OSE.

It would be really lame if we don't get the option of turning on full 4K resolution with all content. I don't take much pictures and I would certainly not watch 4K movies with my phone so that means I would get 4K resolution like 5% of the time when I am browsing pictures or something... If I am paying for 4K display I want it to be 4K res 100% of the time. It's like buying a sports car and having additional horsepower available only on the race track.

Can you imagine if the Premium has a xenon flash? I mean...yeah.
The thing that I don't get is why Sony's still not implementing that dual tone led flash. Single led is way too weak to accompany this new camera. Lenovo Vibe Shot has what? 3 Led's |

No SoC is ready for full native 4K so why would they bother. Mark Cerny said doing native 4K HUD alone would require 10 GB memory bandwidth on the GPU on the PS4. Unless you want constant heating and laggy when you use the phone, until mobile SoC can even reach the performance of intel haswell, this is out of the question. Not even S820 nor the next gen Exynos are ready for native 4K at 60 fps no matter what Samsung and Qualcomm have claim. Take away the 4K, Z5P is basically a larger version of Z5 + more premium finished, priced just like a S6 Edge compare a S6 Edge +.

How is the phone ready for reproducing 4K video in 60 fps (820 promises reproducing/recording 4K@60 fps) and browsing multimedia 4K content but not ready for displaying 4K UI?
I am not saying I would run games in 4K, I would downscale that even to 720p for smoother running. But how would I not be able to browse internet and run apps like facebook/gmail/whatsapp or having my home screen in 4K?

Media playback are most likely done by a dedicated video decoder, which is why S800 can't encode HEVC but S810 can. Decoding HEVC on a i3 alone on PC is very demanding without the help of a GPU that support HEVC, what makes you think that some mobile SoC can do it so efficiently. I too hope that web browsing can be done it native 4K, Google seems to be ready for 4K or 1080p 120Hz native support, maybe there is hope after all. I more curious if Sony allow 1080p mode to operate at 120Hz, that would be smooth and responsive as hell, assuming S810 can always handle 1080p luncher at 60+ fps which is should. |

Nice. hope sony to provide option to check certain apps to run 4k. Just like whitelisting apps for stamina mode.
Exactly what im thinking before when rumors had that certain prototypes had 1080p. |

Guys, how could Z5 render native 4K UI when current version of Lollipop doesn't support native 4K res? And that is true for nearly all apps... |
