WooHooooooo! I want this to be my next device. My XT feels so tiny after browsing away on a tablet. This is a great compromise.

Browsing?! Browsing, right? I thought with that latest Xperia Tablet Z that you have you'd be doing FAR more with it than Browsing. If you don't have that latest Tablet maybe its time to sell any existing tablet you have ... go for Xperia Ultra Z and ditch the phone as well ... that is of course you don't go out dancing too often.

What about colors? I'm thinking black looks best, but what about finger prints? White looks quite good too and should help against prints but I think the white border on the front might bother me. |

With the rumors about an external camera from sony, I am now defnitely getting the Z Ultra instead of Honami. I hope it will come sooner though. |

As an Expat living in Vietnam, I kinda got used to the idea of flying to HK or Japan to get anything remotely new or modern...
I happen to be in a shopping mall that opened today (Vincom Royal City, for those who knows Hanoi), and saw a big crowd by the Sony centre which happens to be one of the many shops within.
They were doing the red tape cutting ceremony and all, and saw a beautiful device in the name of ZU being promoted.
I have been following the Honami thread only, but wow... I might change my mind after a good 10 minute fiddle with the thing.
I WAS IMPRESSED!
I might have to get it.
Available 5th August here in Vietnam.

The one I played with today was white.
I was like the 2nd person to touch it today. As u say, white would be more fingerprint friendly. The back looked good, but the front was already messy. But that is to be said for any phones with big screen anyway... I did not see black ZU, but since there was a XZ next to me as well, I can say it would be the same because material felt the same

Indeed! Considering the rumors of Sammy going 3 screen sizes with the Note, the top end competing with the Xperia ZU (Loving that), Sony picked a good size. Waterproofing should be done from the internal components on outward ~ from the circuit board (mobo), to the battery connection and battery housing, to the LCD (& its connections), to the camera assembly, etc, to the finished sealed product. With the XZ it seems as if Sony assembled then did the 'proofing' afterwards.
I'm just baffled why Sony did NOT include an LED/Xenon Flash! Could you imagine if a Xenon Flash as included for the rear camera on the ZU?! Dayaaaam!!
