What?? Well that does call for the voting system to change to having to leave a comment if you vote. This is bad  And i noticed you use the Nokia 6700 Slide which takes great photos.

Yea over night suddenly alot of se phones have moved up to the top rated, in place of samsung of nokia's again it looks like the 1 voters are back, it was nice while it lasted without them, I don't belive having to leave a comment will help it only takes a second to write "great shot" then vote it 1, the only way is too limit voting in the photo section to members who have a certian amount of posts in the forums and have been registed for a decent amount of time.

Edit. Just checked the top rated 1st page (top 16) pics and there are lot of nokia n8 and samsung plus sony ericsson as well. So it looks fine for me.

Several accounts were created for one purpose and you know how it ended. We could spot them soon and this didn't go any further.

Ok,fair enough. But maybe it might be easier for you mods to use a new system for catching them. You can make it so that every voter for a photo has to leave a comment which would hopefully deter them & it would also leave less work for you guys having to keep spotting them & banning them every 5 minutes. Just a thought

laffen, thank you for all your work! I thought that the vote distribution was kind of wired since I started posting here, i would have 20 10s and then 15 1s .. made no sense to me at all, but then I just thought that my pics were either the "love it" or "hate it" type. Now I see what was going on I think this is partially due to the age group, I mean, why would you vote 1 anyway ? If you don't like it that much, don't vote

I hope everyone is mature enough to know that photo page is meant for nice picture regardless of phone model.
the problem with the big fluctuation is some user with a pea brain feel their phone should be at the top.
I use SE product since the days of Ericsson and I don't mind if people call me fan boy if they see the number of accessories and money spent on SE or Ericsson product....but I don't mind to vote a 10 or a 9 or a 8 for a nice N8 picture and even Samsung picture which I just did help bump that samsung picture at a lake to almost top 5 while kicking my own San Francisco City hall picture down to 12.
the point is people got to grow up to know it is about the pictures....not about the brand.
we can bash the brand regardless how....but if someone able to capture a nice picture, its not fully just due to the phone. If this is the case, we human are really dumb as the phone out smart us so much.
For me I hate Samsung product badly....so...... bad I am very happy when Apple sue them.  in fact more brand should sue them |

^ i don't care what phones peeps use to snap photos .. you can get a good click with anything really. Ya.. the newer ones do give you more flexibility and range, but..
I think the 1 voters are back.. last night there were no ones on this photo, today there are several probably.. and it isn't a great photograph, but it isn't 1 out 10 either.

You still have a lot more 10's than 1's, though, so I don't think, this is a problem, it's not forbidden, to vote 1 on a picture.
The problem were people massively voting 1 on pictures, with multiple fake accounts, to vote those pics down, and voting 10 on their own pics, to get them higher in the top rated list.

Yeah but like we all keep saying the system needs changing so ANYONE who votes 1 HAS to leave a comment & maybe explain why. If they have to comment then it should deter them from doing this as it will shame them. If they keep coming back again & again it's more constant hard work for the mods. They have to keep removing them only for them to return it's a vicious circle

Dunno, whether these cheaters are logging in from an internet-café, otherwise an IP-ban might be useful, though there are ways around that too. But, let's face it, when they really want it, they'll always find a way.
Forcing 1-voters to comment is an option aswell, but when people cheat and have multiple accounts, wouldn't they lie and post: "Beautiful picture!" and still vote 1 ?
