I'm expecting a firmware update to allow touch screen use throughout the operating system.

Im not sure what it would feel like typing an SMS on the Aino, buy it looks like it would be a bit top-heavy.
That's what I thought. I love everything about this phone's style, bar the keypad and limited touch. I already occasionally found texting slightly awkward on the W910i (usually it was fine, but sometimes not), so this is looking to be a lot worse.
@Mizzle: I hope so. And I don't see why they wouldn't. Surely SE knows they've made a disabled phone.

Look at the menus - i.e. the settings menu. They've removed the tabbed overview and made it more "touchable" for a reason.

Wait wait wait. The settings now have no tabbed biew but a streamless line of text? I did not see that. Awesome! A3 is shaping up to be a beast. I wonder what other treats it has. |

Yeah I just saw it. Amazing I liked it before cause it was all in one streamless thing but now its back and forth but that is much better. Much much better. And this is still A2 with some touch ups?! Oh dear god A3 must be amazing then. |

A3 would have been a much more significant update.

True true. But didn't A2 just bring fancy menus the call and end buttons and some minor tweaks? |

A2 is still here, still being updated. I'd say there are quite a few differences from, say, a T650 and Aino.

I know i know I meant like didn't A2 just bring that? But now it has the conversation style text messaging and now the settings and the walkman player are a bit tweaked. This is V4 for the walkman correct? |

I don't like the new style of the settings menu. It's just like T630. And does Walkman V4 have basic skin that looks like v3?
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |

I agree. It such a new direction from the usual stuff. When Dicky said we will see some good high end stuff this year he came through. The design is a big PLUS. It has Sony written all over it.

I hate to be so negative (no I really do!) but I'm just incredibly dissapointed. I was hoping Sony Ericsson would give us the Western version of KDDI AU S001 with the 3'3" inch AMOLED screen and brilliant design (a classic and cool beauty compared to the Aino), instead we get this confused halfbreed.
You'd be surprised how the Japanese covet some of the Western stuff. Sony 'alpha' said they were impressed with our C905.
