@ FDD and CD,

I want to say thank you both for evrything. Pls now I can browse with opera mini 3.11 on my N70 free using zain but i still can't download on the phone...it gives error message whenever i want to download...pls what else can i do.

i need to download an application to start trading forex on my phone.

Opera mini mod v3.11 is actually almost the same as mod v2.06. One of the main differences is that mod v3.11 supports socket connection already. You can either use the same opera mini server you're using in mod v2.06 or do the same trick on the default opera mini server of mod v3.11.

For downloading, you may need to ask fdigital because we have different tricks and tweaks here in the philippines for downloading, video streaming and browsing.

So mtn wants to spoil our phones. okay ooooooo! free browsing cannot kill them with all the zillions of naira made daily. its long since I have heard dennevhen in this forum. whats happening in your area dennevhen? are u experiencing what we are experiencing right now in Nigeria - a network desperately trying every means possible to stop free browsing including spoiling phones if necessary. How were you able to circumvent such situation.

It keeps going better and better here in the philippines. We can still browse, stream and download for free. Actually, one of our network providers blocked 2.06 but we still have mod v3.11 and 4.2 final version. Actually, we are able to browse even without tweaking too much settings. We're just using socket connection and that's it. It's free already. One of our network providers here allowed free access to everything in all versions of opera mini using socket connection also.

Guys, do you Opera Mini 4.2 final version on your phones? Me, i can browse, download and stream for free by using proxies and socket connection. Try this, go to http://www.aliveproxy.com/fastest-proxies then select a proxy then change the one that's on the internet profile that you're using. After that, open opera mini then go to settings and switch the protocol to socket.

@netsurf1,

It depand of how, to connect your mobile phone, with your pc..
For example, if you have a NOKIA model, you should install the NOKIA PC SUITE on your PC.
Than connect your phone trought bluetooth/infrared/or cable.. Than go to opera on your PC, and under: widget->connection, enter your settings.

.
Hope this help.

@netsurf1: your phone is sony ericsson, right? Connect your phone then select phone mode. Open se pc suite then click on mobile networking wizard. Select the manual option then enter the APN. After that, try connecting. Open opera 9.62 then use proxies.

Hi dennevhen! Glad to have u back after long period. I personally have missed your wonderful contributions in this forum. Fdigital have really helped a lot. Okay! Bout using proxies on pc opera and using the phone as modem. U said we need to use proxies. How and where do we get those proxies? My network is mtn nigeria. Anytime i connect via nokia pc suite, browsing with opera on my pc drains my credit fast! I`ve had to shout out once in this forum and fdigital recommended celtel/zain network. Recently, i bought the sim but couldnt get a packet data signal on my phone. Guess celtel is having problem with wap browsing. But i have mtn which i would have love to use with opera pc browser. So the question again. How do i get these proxies to give me free browsing opprtunities when i use opera browser on my pc.

Go to http://www.aliveproxy.com/fastest-proxies and then select any proxy that you want to use. Open opera then go to preferences>network. Click on the proxy servers button. Enter the proxy that you selected in all of the textboxes. Put a check on socks and then enter the proxy also. Use a proxy that is on port 3128 or 8082.

@ CID,

thanks man...i have already copied some fast IPs from alive proxy and i'll go home now to try it.

but let me explain the situation clearly to you;

I was using zain network to browse free with freegate software on my laptop but they suddendly blocked it. i realised they only blocked the APN:mms.ng.zain.com but the APN:wap.ng.zain.com is still browsing but they collect money for browsing with that wap.

will those proxies i got from alive make the wap free of charge or will it make the mms apn come back to live?

@netsurf1: i'm not really sure but actually when i'm using it, everything is free. I don't if you will be able to access the blocked apn again. Give it a try then let me know. I'm sorry, i'm not really familiar with your network providers there.
