i like my c702, my main uses are camera, music, internet, texting.
The screen is way better than my k800i's 2.2inch's on the c702 & 2 inch on the k800, the c702' screen is clearer with better colours aswell.
I find the camera on my c702 nice to use meaning pics don't blur that easily like my k800i, it lacks camera options but pic quality is alot better than my k800i it doesn't over post-process and the whitebalance doesn't mist up the pics. it only has a led flash but i don't miss the xenon flash my k800 had, the main reason being pics taken with the k800is flash are very poor quality and smeared to hell so i didn't really use the k800i's xenon flash only for macro's and portraits where i could use a lower iso. The c702's flash managers macros and portraits but not longer distances very well, good thing about the led flash is no flash pics will ever have flash burn, The c702's cam handles all conditions very well apart from artifical light i prefer the c702's cam to my old cid:36 k750i's cam.
The c702's mediaplayer is excellent, k800i has some really basic mediaplayer which wasn't that nice to use.
c702's orgarnizes music, video, photos, games very well is very nice navigate and look at.
The sound quality of the c702 is very good the volume is average same for loudspeaker & headsets.
Internet is very speedy using hsdpa, using opera mini 4.1 on my c702 & k800 and the c702 is alot faster.
The buttons on the c702 are fine nothing great but are fine to use, after 2 years of crappy joysticks the d-pad is amazing, only thing is the c702 is missing the play/pause button which i really miss i keep going to press it and it's not there the k800i had this button.
The splash resistance came in handy the other day when it started hammering it down with the worst rain i've seen in a while, the phone got soaked like me and survied perfectly no problems.
bulid quality is very good and so is the signal nearly always has a full signal including hsdpa.
Like most A2 platform phones the c702 has it bugs after using the phone a few weeks i've spotted most them
-mediaplayer can lag, and can cutout sometimes when playing music/video overall it's not that bad just happens now and again.
-likes to tell me i have a inactive sim when it feels like it, doesn't happen very often and it sorts itself out after a few seconds.
-battery life doesn't seen to great i find myself charging everyday
i'm sure all promblems will be fixed with newer firmware c702 is on it's first firmware release still, no A2 phone has perfect firmware and is bug free.

Awesome! Thanks number1, I really wasn't expecting you to go into that much detail, but that's really great!
In regard to bugs, they sound pretty average for an A200 phone. Coming from a W910i, I know they won't bother me (I have most of those bugs on my W910i anyway!), and of course there will be updates to fix most of them!
Also, I will be easily impressed by any phone camera that's better than the 2MP one on my W910i so I guess I'm going to love the 3.2MP snapper on the C702!
I'm pretty sure I will get the C702. Now I just need to free up the money and find a cheap dealer! Thanks again!

The bugs are minimal and don't occur that often good thing is it's never rebooted itself or refused to turn on. the c702 is actually due a update soon the c902 already has this newer firmware.
i think the c702's cam is really good i get results with it nearlly everthing singel pic i've taken with it has been sharp, some people do get blurry pics possibly due to inexperance with se cam phones i was the same with my k750i but after 2years of using se phones as my main camera i've gotten used to them.
i brought mine for 190GBP from 02 that includes a 10pound top-up if you arent already a 02 customer.

Thanks buddy. I'm not from the UK though, so no chance of picking one up on O2! I'll be importing one probably, as its cheaper than buying anything from the networks here.

I'll second everything that number1 has said. Its just a great phone to always have on you. I've always got it hanging off my belt loop with its strap when i'm out walking, and have given its water resitance a good run (accidentally dipped it into a stream whilst i was looking at something, and with the summer weather as it is, its been getting wet). And not to forget it has GPS, saves me carrying a map with me all the time.
Sure its got some bugs and the battery life could be better, but compared to my K850 its a dream.

i rather go for C902 but A-GPS and water/dust protection and 2.2" screen(same as K850) sounds also nice.......tuff choice.

I'm slowly getting better at taking pics with my c702 now... Here are a couple of macro shots from work last night. Not brilliant but that's down to my inexperience more than anything.

Seeing as we have had a somewhat decent day today i thought i'd try and go for a proper walk, with just my C702 at my side, it fared very well, and i used it to navigate me home, i purposefully went off onto roads i don't usually use, and see if it could direct me home.
Doing this i have noticed two little problems, first is that i had the headset plugged in and had the media player on to listen to music, which was fine until the navigation software gave me a voice promt, it paused the music, but didn't make it resume, i have to press the activity menu key twice to make the music resume.
Other niggle was that the display and the camera kept fogging up, due to the outside air being colder than the inside of the handset, this was all under the casing, so i couldn't wipe it off, and made using the camera near impossible, but covering the camera with my finger helped sort this out.
I also think the wayfinder software is great for city and town navigation, but not as good for country walking, it kept trying to make me use main roads, with no pavemants, is not a good idea. It also seems to have some trouble knowing which way i'm facing, when i went off its route. It did automaticly re-route me though.
Heres the link to the album with todays shots, with geotags. Considering today wasn't very sunny, i think the camera has done well, on par with my K850.

Also, i was using it to play some music whilst i was cooking dinner, but i stupidly didn't look where i was placing the phone as i was talking to someone, and put it straight into a plate of flour. But its all cool.
Only way to clean it was to run it under the tap
Sorry for such a long post, hope its of help.

yes i own both phones, the c702 pics are actually sharper, the more real colours come from the c702, slightly more noisey but at least there not completey smeary like the k800i's i'l do some comparasions when i get hold of a IPK-100 camera kit. |
