About that flashing LED...Not a good idea that pressing on any key cancels the flashing. Let's say that you have your phone in the pouch and you want to check if you got any calls or messages. You take your phone out of the pocket and accidentally press on a key and you don't know about it. Would be much better to be related on a popup box... |

Oh, so if you have locked keypad that doesn't occur? I thought it happens even with keylock on...In that case that isn't a problem for me |

The flashing green light stops if the scroll wheel is moved or any key is pressed even with keylock on |

Great...now tell me that even the red LED for low battery stops flashing when you press something and I won't be surprised...Jeez what were they thinking, scroll wheel is easily moved... |

its works the same as it always did?! it always stopped flashing if you pressed any button. nothing has changed!
edit: i take it back - dont think it used to stop if you pressed a key when the phone was locked - that is pretty stupid. hopefully SE will upload a new fw soon to sort out these little niggles...
this is the worst fw upgrade i can remember for any of my phones when it comes to introducing bugs.
1. camera "4" bug
2. links on opera wrong colour background with dark themes
3. led light stops flashing if button pressed when locked
i mean whats the point of the led if you cant trust it - it was one of my favourite features i hope se fix it soon!

make that
1. camera "4" bug
2. links on opera wrong colour background with dark themes
3. led light stops flashing if button pressed when locked
4. when you open a new tab on opera and the page fully loads it goes back to saying 0% afterward.
any more i missed? i think i actually regret "up"grading. |

mobman,
did you not notice that the camera is much better in this firmware? |

yeah the camera is much much faster - i'll give them that - but this is the first time i've ever been disapointed with my p1i - the LED light problem is a big deal for me - i use it much more than the camera.
don't get me wrong - i love the camera improvements but i've never seen so many bugs introduced in a firmware upgrade? |

For me is the worst new feature the backbutton in Java. Doesnīt bring the app to standby, but ask if i want close the app or not.
Sorry but i havenīt read the whole topic here. Is this already resolved somehow?
If not, may i ask you (SE employers, because they read it here ) from which sick head come this idea? Is this some antimultitasking revolution or what? For me is it the shi*iest improvement i have ever seen :-/

I'm a programmer and my gut tells me that there are many more fixes than those that meet the eye.
There are so many things that may have changed and we will never notice them. Examples: Video codecs, WiFi security, PDF reader, Office docs, etc.
So many people nitpicking about the '4' button and flashing led shows that the P1 has reached firmware maturity. People will aways complain - it's in our nature.
For me the firmware is just fine |

@mts
i'd forgotten about that - but its not really a bug - just a s**t idea. would be nice to be able to turn the feature off. only solution is to set the @ key as standby?
@LAU
i dont think complaining that the new fw makes the LED usless is nitpicking - but i suppose i'm more mad at myself for upgrading - i was extremely happy with my p1i before and now unfortunately i'm not. i'm sure SE will sort everything out soon.

hmm. the LED light of my P1 stopped flashing when i pressed any key while locked even before i upgraded my firmware to the latest (and my CDA to WG1). so i didn't think it was a bug... |
