I think I know why the phones in scandinavia is not World Generic. We have Wayfinder on ours, and I think this is on the f/w as well. So I guess you dont have that anymore on your phone now Maratonmannen, is that right?

Wayfinder is gone.
For the moment I donīt see any need for it, since I am only travelling by U-bahn or bus.

@Tail & Maratonmannen: we also have /92 here in Romania. Phone was bought officially from Vodafone (not a reseller), which is strange because here in RO Vodafone always had generic phones except for those that were network locked.
Also came bundled with wayfinder - you may however download the app from their site and reinstall it. |

A few things that i noticed from the update:
Previously i use to get a buzzing noise every so often when using the speaker, i would have to deactivate the speaker, then turn it back on, for the sound to go...so far (only been testing it for two days) this has not occurred...
I like some, had the long text bug, so far in my tests i have NOT been able to get the error code...i have copied and paste a section of text constantly (maybe 10 times) and the bug has not appeared...before some of you go off and pay the 20 euros, if you want me to replicate the exact same thing that you do that warrents the error to appear please do and i will try it and confirm if i am having the same problem. |

From whom's site? Vodafone romania? Do you have a download link? |

no, wayfinder's site. here is the link: http://ext-wf-dl.wayfinder.co[....]uiq3-p1i-eu_combo-7_16-en.sisx
This might be the link for registered users. Here is the link for the trial version: http://www.wayfinder.com/prod[....].en.php?link_id=alias_redirect
Please note however that unless your phone came bundled with wayfinder, the trial period is limited to five (5) days instead of one (1) year.
Obviously you need a BT GPS receiver for it to work.

Well i couldn't get the update surve on my computer even though i did everything people have told me but i think the problem was because i have internet explorer 7 and not 6. Maybe?
So i updated my phone on another computer.
I got the update call P1i Trade USA?
I really don't remember what it exactly was but i definately know that it had the words P1i and Trade in it.
Did any one get that same update? And what's the deal with world generic?
Once i'm done putting my back up files into my phone i'm going to show you guys my phone info.

I had CDA 162024/92 R3A and I have just updated. It said P1i Trade South Africa. I haven't bought my phone in South Africa.
I was with the impression that I had a UK version (after checking at http://uiq3.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/CDA/P1i)

SE UK removed Blackberry Client on their site, hope a new version will be made availble soon for R6E30.

Now that I'm back from holidays I thought I'd check if there is an update for my phone version (CDA is /55 which is Ireland). But I can't seem to get past the "Identification in progress" screen which is immediately after releasing the "C" button. From memory when updating my M600 and P990, the next step shouldn't take long and should just say what phone you have i.e. P1i. But so far, I have always had an error message saying identification failed and to try again. Once I got the green bars going across the page but it seemed to hang so I disconnected the phone to try again then got the error messages again. Now I've got the Identification in progress screen again but again, after 15 minutes it doesn't seem to be getting anywhere. Am I correct in thinking it shouldn't take this long? I need to go home soon so have to decide whether to disconnect my phone again!
