I have experienced a few reboots today!!!

These all seem to have appeared after I was playing with / trying out three Themes I downloaded from the SE Fun&Downloads site... The Themes are specifically titled P1 but they are amazingly small (all under 150kb) and so I believe my problems have come from there... All of these have been deleted now and I am using one of the preinstalled Themes...

I'll monitor and if I continue to get reboots for no reason or if it becomes more frequent I will perform a Master Reset and start again...

Hi.. does anyone know how to UNinstall themes? I don't see them under "Uninstall"....

PLEASE KEEP THIS THREAD FOR BUGS ONLY!

If you receive a message, click reply and then quickly start typing with auto capitalisation enabled, it comes out un-capitalised. I know I could wait for a second, but it is annoying all the same!

Agreed, it's annoying. It's the same with the phonebook but this is just down to the phone not beeing quick enough and not a direct bug.

Over to the real bugs:

  • The pouch has glue on the inside that sticks to the phone. It's doesn't permanently damage the phone as it removes quite easily, but it's annoying all the same. Didn't anyone at SE try to insert the phone into the pouch a few times? They would have noticed...

  • Bug with deleting messages

    1. Open the Inbox
    2. Select any number of messages, even just one
    3. Click "more" then select "Delete messages"
    4. Confirm the delete by pressing "yes".
    5. The phone responds with: "Information: Illegal request".
    6. Click continue.
    7. The messages are still there.

I did a reboot, bug is reproduceable.

When some one calls me and the phone is in the charger, the phone doesn't viberate. THe phone is on silent and its supposted to viberate.

Nopes, not kidding! There have been problems for 2 weeks now, and it isn't necessary operator-specific!

Someting I had a few times is that changing settings only take effect after a reboot or various tries.

1. Changing the default ringtone to an mp3 of choice. I changed it, but kept getting the default ringtone (even after various changes/tries)... After a reboot it worked fine.

2. Changing the backlight settings... Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. My screen didn't turn off (it dimmed but didn't completely turn off). After changing the settings a few times it suddenly DID work as expected.

Hard to put a finger on these...

I have an annoying bug in my P1i:

the phone doesnt recognize incoming phonecalls/messages from my "Contacts" instead it just displays the phone number (then asking if I'd like to save the number to my Contacts even though its already there).

so, now I never know who's calling me as I only see the phone number. same with messages. very annoying!

Hello all, new user to these forums. I had been using an M600 for about a year and was basically happy with it, have had the P1 for about 2 weeks now.

Mostly happy but there are a few bugs which are starting to drive me nuts.

1. Cannot delete multiple SMS messages at one time, I can confirm the above poster's problem. My error message however is "Bad Request". (MAJOR)

2. Unlike the M600 the P1 is storing my SMS messages on my SIM card, and I cannot find any place where I can change the setting to store in phone memory instead. (MAJOR)

3. When exiting viewing an SMS message, list view scrolls back to the top, rather than to where the message I just viewed was (MINOR)

4. From initial messaging menu, cannot scroll to "Inbox" for email or Activesync push mail. Only way to get there is from the home screen. (MAJOR)

I send and recieve over 4000 text messages per month due to my work (+ a billion emails), so the problems are very real for me Hopefully I did not just flush $650 down the toilet.

Any help would be appreciated! I'm running the following firmware:

Phone CXC 162037 R9G007
BT CXC162143 R1C
Organizer CXC162108 R6D23
CDA CDA 162025/66 R2A

I have performed a master reset and the problems still exist.

Thanks...

My P1 doesn't have the message deletion error. I can mark message(s) then delete using the command from the More menu although I usually just use the back arrow key.
