@XybernetIQWelcome to the forum! Your question is better raised in the dedicated SMP thread. Short answer: what you've observed is quite normal, just a consequence of "serial killing" programs for more free memory.

I'm totally disgusted too and all I can say is that a boycott of Sony Ericsson's phones should ensue until further development re-commences on p990i and all the major bugs are ironed out.

I doubt I will ever buy an SE phone again after their total disregard for their customer base.

GOODBYE SE and GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!

Okay, that's it. I have waited and hoped that SE would have the decency to solve issues caused by them. Instead they continue to mess up with new bugs, don't take responsibility and offend their consumers. This company nor its products no longer deserve my loyalty. If I -through this forum- have not heard any positive response from SE to the current level of serious complaints expressed here by the end of this week, then I wil not hesitate shouting from roof tops how bad their products and service are. After having used the P800, P900 and (the best) P910, I have put my P990 aside today. I no longer wish to be seen with it and go through the agony each day. Salut SE!

Come to think of it... Should we set an ultimatum?

Do not want to be loyal. Just be selfish and choose what is best. To you of course. And feel free to complain when the best is only the best, but not perfect at all.

All i can say to all SE loyalists like me, P990i: we were sold gold bars to flaunt but only to find out that it was a stinking brick underneath. Well SE was right no product is flawless due to RAM issue blah blah blah... BUT at least back up your products and address your customers' concerns!!!!... No wonder SE does not have a slogan "CONNECTING PEOPLE".

SE T68i - > SE P800 -> SEP910i -> SEP990i ->SE P1i?(NOT!!!) ->

NOKIA E90 OR IPHONE

If you are really serious about getting SonyEricsson to change their mind, may I suggest that you raise this issue on an American forum (e.g. howardforums, mobileburn).

By doing this, you may be able to motivate some US P990i owners to take out a Class Action Lawsuit against SonyEricsson. Obviously, this won't financially impact on owners outside the United States, but there is a reasonable chance that SonyEricsson will back down rather than pay out large sums to the litigants.

I just drove home and was thinking... How can a serious company actually believe that consumers will buy the P1 if there is such a realistic chance that within less than a year full support will be stopped?

Are we missing anything?
